And 1-0 is your final in game 1. A 2nd inning solo homer by Kennon Fontenot is the difference.

Leger goes 7, gives up 2 hits, 2 walks, and strikes out 2. Marks and Moore each pitch a perfect inning to close it out.

Leger for UL and Cunningham for Coastal were tremendous......both bullpens were great. Both pitching staffs pitched like it was a damned game in a Super Regional....or better. Just outstanding baseball.

GS wins game 1 against Troy 5-3.

That was one hell of a baseball game between the two best pitchers in the conference....hopefully the outstanding baseball continues for two more games

And I don't mean just here. I was extremely unimpressed by their attendance at a Friday night baseball game between the top two teams in the conference. Way too many empty seats in that stadium.
