[split] The BIG gets it right...will the ACC follow suit?
(04-03-2017 06:08 PM)Dr. Isaly von Yinzer Wrote:  I definitely don't agree with that.

If the league wants to totally get rid of them then totally get rid of them. Personally, I don't think we get as much out of these Friday night games as others insist we do.

However, the ACC can't be picking and choosing who plays on Friday nights and who doesn't? If we're going to play on non-traditional nights, then everyone goes in the pool.

Now, I'm not suggesting that we should schedule our marquee matchups on Friday night. However, nobody should be exempt from them because once you start down the road you create a caste system between "Friday schools" and "Saturday schools" and nobody wants to be in that former group.

Easy enough for the fan of a school that thus far hasn't had to play a non-Black Friday Friday night game and little chance of it in the future. We are stuck with the two wasteland schools who enjoy them because they aren't drawing home crowds anyway so it doesn't hurt attendance.

And it just goes to show the arguments made by the people who claimed that Friday night games would result in greater exposure was just the typical ACC fanboy lie. If that were the case they wouldn't consistently force the top drawing schools to do it and instead be serving up the teams that can't get any exposure otherwise. The past three seasons every single one of Clemson's games has been on either broadcast TV or one of the ESPN networks except the FCS and G5 OOC games. I imagine if I cared to look FSU would be the same. Perhaps use these abominations for the games that otherwise would be relegated to Raycom, ESPNNEWS, or Foxsports.

No, we played at Boston College on a Friday night as well a few years back. However, you may not remember it because nobody wept openly in public over it. We have played a lot of weeknight games as members of the ACC.

Friday Sept 5th.

And nobody remembers it because like BC Pitt doesn't matter.

You're absolutely right. I barely remember that game. Also, we don't clinch our pearls at the Wailing Wall like the fans of some schools. Don't you ever get sick of crying?

You know what game I do remember?

Nah, because Pitt doesn't matter you just take it like the cucks you are.

You know what I remember?

Both proving that.....wait for it.......Pitt doesn't matter.

You are a delight!

Those clips are all extremely impressive, but they are from your game against Alabama, not Pitt.

You have to understand that outside of the state of South Carolina, probably no area of the country was rooting for you harder that night than western Pennsylvania.

That is a great memory for me as well because it proved that we could beat the team that beat Alabama for the national championship!

And we did it on the road…in a hostile environment…in November…and in a game that appeared to mean EVERYTHING to Clemson. And the best part is we did by shoving it right down your throat. It was a lot of fun to watch Conner repeatedly run over Bouleware.

So, while I agree with you that we are not a player on the national stage, I also think it is reasonable to say that if we can build off that great moment and continue to progress forward, we soon will be...again.

Be honest, when Clemson defeated Alabama, you cried afterwards. Don't lie to us, we know you cried. You almost certainly cried during the game as well, but for different reasons. However, afterwards, you were a blubbering mess, weren't you?

Good for you. I admire a man who is unafraid to show his emotions at a moment's notice over literally every single issue. Most of us keep that shitt bottled up and we die when we are 43 of a massive heart attack.

Not you, you are not at all afraid to weep openly over a whole host of issues and I admire that on some level.

I hope the ACC does right by you for once and doesn't force you the indignity of playing any Friday night games going forward. Lord knows you deserve it, after all you have been through.

You know how to tell when you win an argument? When your opponent goes personal.

I accept you concession.

Congrats on a meaningless regular season win against Clemson being the brightest highlight in Pitt football since the Marino era.

LOL!

Help me out here, what exactly were we arguing about?

The facts are pretty clear.

Pitt beat Clemson when they played this year.

Clemson shook off that loss and was able to go on to win the national championship.

When they did, both Pitt and Clemson fans were very pleased by that development.

Pitt is not relevant on a national level.

And you never stop whining about literally everything. When we talk about scheduling, you cry. When we talk about divisional alignment, more tears. Potentially having to play games on weeknights – oh, goodness; turn on the water works. Officiating? I know, I know. They all favor of the Tobacco Road schools, wah, wah, wah.

Oh, the humanity!

When will this cruelty come to an end and what can be done to stop this injustice?

There is always a new crusade for you to fight and you are not afraid to openly weep to make your point. I get it.

So what are we arguing over again? All of the above points are unassailable and factually undeniable. Look, I've given you a new crusade. Now you can stomp your feet and cry over me. Maybe we can consolidate all of that energy on to one person. If I have to take all of your wailing, I consider myself to have done a great service to the rest of this board.

Just please stop crying for like five minutes. It's all good, brother. Your team is the national champion and you are playing in a league that is deeper and stronger and wealthier than it has ever been in its entire history. The war is over and you have won – we have all won! There's no reason whatsoever for any Clemson fan to be crying right now. These are your Halcyon days. You would be wise to do your best to try and enjoy them because they don't last forever.

So calling Dr. Islay a cuck wasn't personal?

I called the Pitt fanbase a cuck, not one individual person.

You can call me whatever names you want to call me. I don't care at all – I really don't. You can call the whole Pitt fan base whatever childish names you want to call it. That doesn't bother me one iota either.

But please, stop crying. If you can stop crying about literally every single issue for like 10 minutes, we are going to get along just fine.

Irony. Crying about supposed crying.

It's a legitimate issue based upon the comments by numerous people in this thread.

And if you don't like what I post then ignore me and stop your.......wait for it.......crying about the content.

Or just continue to be your usual Ray Watts self.
