Already, UTRGV has had four players transfer... Freshman Clarke Cooper, Freshman Onuralp Demirer, Junior Walter Jones and Senior Greg Loy.

It will be interesting to see Hill's replacements. As I pointed out in another thread, Hill is heavily recruiting the JC ranks.

I was not impressed at all with Hill and UTRGV at all this past year. They continued to basically stink.

They have a very nice core of Nick Dixon, Antionio Green, Xavier McDaniels and UTEP teansfer Terry Winn. 3-star Adrian Johnson goes into his 2nd season and 3/2 star Greg Bowie is an incoming freshman. Theyre a young team about to move into a brand new arena which will likely be the nicest in the WAC. A darkhorse for as high as 3 in my opinion this coming year.

Yea the first 2 are walk ons so that doesn't really matter. Walter jones was my first man out but I didn't expect Loy though. I'm still thinking Kimasa and Rabigwi may be out next. Pretty much every Hipsher recruit minus Green.

Dancing not much you could do with that roster. If they had hired weir instead we still would have been in the exact same position.

Is it me, or is Year 2 for a new coach when we see highest roster turnover. I feel like Majerle signed his biggest class of hs recruits/transfers in Y2. I have to believe with all the new signings and commits at NMSU that Aggies will look totally different in Y2. 2016-17 was Y2 for Pope at UVU & he started this season with something like only 2 or 3 of the same players from Y1.

It's like these guys come in and get a lay of the land before they decide to bulldoze everything & build a whole new house. Hill seems to be on the same trajectory.

The fortunate thing for Weir and NMSU is Taylor, Pennie, Bhullar, and Wilkins are very close to graduating. Taylor has already announced he is not returning and will pursue a pro career instead.

BTW, Micheal Nwabuzor has also transferred from UTRGV. The mass exodus continues.
