Coach Adams trying to return home to Kansas. She has singlehandly built the women's program. It would be a big step back for us if she gets the job.

Would hate to see her leave. Shes my favorite opposing coach in the league.
I think utep girls are a year away from being back where she had them 3 or so years ago.

She has taken the Wichita State job. Sorry UTEP fans, we feel your pain.

This is a gut wrenching loss for UTEP. Keitha led UTEP to its only women's NCAA tournament wins and conference championships. She is the winningest coach in program history. She led the team to sellout the Don Haskins Center. I am not talking about give away tickets, they sold 12,000 tickets. Granted it was for the NIT tournament games but that 12k is almost as much as some school in CUSA get for a football game. I can't blame her, or be upset for taking the job. She grew up 36 miles from Wichita State's campus but man this hurts to the core.

Sorry about the loss, UTEP. Wasn't familiar with her and had to look her up. Can't get over how much she looks like a blonde version of Kathy Bates in Misery. Hope you'll find a good replacement.

I would feel sure she would take the asst who gets all the foreign players with her.

Coach Ewa has some options. She can apply for the head coaching job or go with Keitha. Coach Ewa has been the associate head coach for several years. I am sure there will be some really high quality applicants for the opening. I have no clue which way our AD will go.

There is a big upside to all those foreign players you get. Much less drama between players and dealing with parents than with our homegrown kids.

I say we "promote" Floyd to the women's program and go out and get a new Men's coach.

Coach Ewa has decided to fallow Coach Adams to Wichita State. UTEP will not have an expansive search for the new coach. UTEP has several things that will attract a good field: 1. Great Facilities, Great fans support and excellent pay. Coach Adams was makin in the range of $360K.

They didn't have great fan support. They had a few games that were sell outs but for the most part, they had a few thousand and tickets were one dollar.

If Keitha was making that much, they should cut that in half and use the extra money to find a better basketball coach.
