Dunno, but at least he had enough sense to guard the perimeter. Unlike someone else (who still had three timeouts to set up a defense).

Vernon and others have posted this clip on Twitter. The audio is great.

The tank-top guy is flipping the double-bird at the NC guy as he misses the free throw.

Crowd goes from delirium to silence in about 6 seconds.

My point was I watched 3 regional tournament games where this event occurred and none of the coaches had their team foul. Florida even had a timeout and didn't do it. My only problem is why is any defender inside the 3 point line ? Kudos to Few for having all of his guys guarding the perimeter. I'm guessing not many teams practice this situation and they all revert back to their instinct to guard the basket

Gonzagas was a bit different. WVU has the ball initially with 36 seconds to go, missed a jumper and got the offensive rebound with 16 seconds (which in both cases was way too early to foul).

Once WVU pissed away the clock, at the point in the pic with about 4 seconds to go, the Zags could have fouled.

In the NC game, look at Taggart--he's two feet from the rim. Dozier was on the low block right before this. Who in the hell is Antonio guarding? Just awful.

Antonio was originally guarding Chalmers. The guy Rose was guarding, forgot his name, stumbled right before the handoff to Chalmers. We apparently tried to switch. The stumble if anything may have caused
Chalmers to be open for a second.

We shoulda left the guy in the paint wide open to bait them I guess.

Haha. Well, he had three timeouts to delve into all the possibilities.

Well, then 95% of all Memphis Tigers fans are still warped. I'm ecstatic that Cal came back to FedEx Forum for the first time in 8-9 years and was sent home with a loss. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving snake oil salesman.

More like 5% butthurt nerds, but I get your point.

It's absolute justification.

It's perfect payback for the way Fredo exited MEMPHIS back in 2009, lying through his teeth and trying to burn down the program on the way out the door, just ahead of the NCAA posse.

Helluva comeback by the Cats in the final 45 seconds to apparently tie the game...only to see the Tarheels hit a killer shot with .3 left to book their sojourn to Phoenix next weekend. That was so wonderfully SWEET. Somewhere, Ashley Judd is crying, LOL. Maybe she should organize a protest? A million fan march?? LOL!!!

Most excellent choke job by UK. Fredo just isn't a good coach in the crunch time: Kansas, UConn in 2011, Wisconsin to ruin a possible undefeated season, and now North Carolina. Yeah, he beat Kansas in 2012 but it wasn't close in the end. That's Cal's albatross; his doom. The TIGHT games when all the chips are on the table.

For the record, I hope Gonzaga wins the title next week....but Carolina is sitting pretty right now.

Exactly my sentiments! Was lovely to see Cal choke in crunch time again... never fails. I have nothing personally against the Kentucky Wildcats, I just hope ANY team Calipari coaches loses every single game if possible.

Instead of blaming the refs, maybe Cal should've made sure his star players were in their rooms by curfew instead of at 152 until 2am the night before the game.
