Is it just me, or do we offer scholarships to certain players? Why can't we offer to the same players that Kentucky, North Carolina, and Duke offers to, then spread them out to others. You never know we might get a commitment or two with a steal. Why not the coaches call or even visit these players to? Let them visit, even if they are committed to one of these schools already. Now, I don't mean to let up on our main players that we are trying to get, but wouldn't it be nice to land those players, as well with a steal or two?[/size][/font]

I don't see why this would be an impossibility. Coach Novell does it in football recruiting and landed two 4* huge recruits. We had to get through that dreadful, depressed season. Let's kick the endorphins up and get some quality recruits for Memphis!

If I am Tubby, I say to him go and start right now throwing offers to these players. With Kentucky and North Carolina in town this weekend, he could have already gotten ahead to see who their players are out there already. 2018 and a fresh offer list to recruits, isn't hurting the Tigers first amendment against anyone.

I assure you that I have only had 2 usernames on this board. The first was over a decade ago, when I messaged the administrators of this board wanting to change it to what I have now, they never responded, so I set up bucctiger in 2010.

I have concerns about Tubby's recruiting too, as I voiced when he was hired. But to jump the guy at 10 months is asinine. It has taken Auburn and South Carolina 4 - 6 years to fix it, as it did Cal at Memphis, and you know Cal was lying, cheating and Who knows what else to get it rolling.

I agree with Steve. Get our Memphis name on the recruits' list.
Of course, we may not make the final cut, but why settle for every recruit ranked over 150?

If things pick up, and I hope they do, at least the players will have another choice for 2018.
