That is definitely a possibility but that doesn't change anything.

Right now it doesn't appear that he can help this team

It would mean Tubby either misevaluated or knew and did not care enough to pursue King. The former is a mistake. The latter malpractice.

lol. So much butt hurt.

It's neither. The Nick King ship has sailed, and rightfully so.

King couldn't do anything on a sucky Alabama team last year before getting sick. Doubt he would be our savior this year

RE: Nick King
I guess I'm the only one who remembers how King was the only one who showed heart in that nationally televised OKState game with the four other kings. If you can call it a game

#7 Oklahoma State vs. #11 Memphis - 2013
Smart scored a career-high 39 points and No. 7 Oklahoma State raced past No. 11 Memphis for a 101-80

Nick King had 23 points for Memphis, and Shaq Goodwin finished with 13 . We coulda lost by 41 or 30 something.

Tubby wouldn't be the only one who misevaluated...

Pastner and Avery must have misevaluated as well along with all the other schools that didn't go after him this time around.

That's fine, but one game does not make the man. He left. He left another school. Good kid, but...

Yeah
That was a glimpse of what he could have been. But as his career progressed, it was obvious he's a position less player and not really good at any one thing.

Diss this Memphis kid all you want. But I think he was in the process of 'making'. He was just a freshman, if I recall correctly--first time in front of the camera.

He had tons of heart. He wanted to come back home. And it's not like we couldn't have used an experienced player.

The end.

Nobody said he wanted to come home

Tubby is tight with Avery

There is a reason Memphis showed no interest

Nobody is dissing but he hasn't done anything of note since that game. Aren't you part of the group wanting immediate results from Tubby this year? King wasn't going to help that cause

I'm part of the group wanting something else, thanks for asking lol. I like it when the community supports the talent we have , these young men go on to do well in life and then return to Memphis to do good things for the community.

I also think that a good coach like Tubby could have developed him.

Wouldn't "immediate results" be last season? This is season two, not so immediate anymore.

Does Tubby have time for all that? Tubby already is known not to like the grad transfer route to begin with. Let the man do his thing and go watch King play on one of those CUSA networks.
