According to what I've been reading Katie Griggs is leaving the women's bb team for another job. (I don't know if it's sports related or not)

Coach and Jim Heller have both wished her luck on facebook.

Moving to D.C. area maybe? Can't recall. Did a great job but wasn't as involved as she was before and wanted more family time.

Heard mention of this in Cleveland after the Conference Tournament win, that it was a good way for her to go out, but that is all I know.

Just more family time and a new opportunity. She loved her time with Toledo and deserved to make it to the dance in her final year with the team! She'll be missed.

Griggs had been with the Toledo Rocket program for quite some time. She made our coaching staff look like it had some stability. Too bad we're going to lose her, but family is everything, so I get it. She'll be missed.

We will all miss her. I have gotten to know her over the years she has been a Lady Rocket. Wish her well! We will all get to see her since she has taken a job in Perrysburg. She promised to be at many of the Lady Rockets games. Great news for all of us!

Perrysburg- Washington- same ballpark. Why did I think she was moving to D.C.? Anyway, if she's in Perrysburg she'll be my neighbor. Good luck, Katie!
