You're acting like Tech has been sitting stagnant for 100 years. We had to fight our way up through the College Division and Division II to get into DI. Along the way we won national championships in DII, then moved up. We made a couple of playoff runs in IAA, then moved up (back) to IA. And now we've enjoyed a few years of sustained success.

Your football program started D1 because you're other sports were already there.

So what's your point exactly? That FAU will eventually surpass teams like Tech and USM? Do you honestly think you'll make it big and we won't?

And for the record, I don't like huge cities. Ruston is a little small, yes, but Monroe is 30 minutes away and Shreveport an hour. I'm fine with that.

I don't know where we will be, but yes we will 100 percent pass you just most schools have in your history.

You realize these other schools who "passed us" were mostly older than us, right? So how is a startup going to suddenly jump us? Are you trolling or do you actually believe this? I hope you guys get on the winning side of things but come on, let's be real about it.

it took you guys longer....however, the synonyms are analogous to southern miss to the T (it's simply a few decades more TTT for you guys)

it's been enjoyable watching you guys continue to create/build/grow moving forward.....many could learn lessons how that works when attempting to achieve success....

The things LA Tech and Southern Miss have done over their storied histories needs to be respected. Both have won many championships and produced multiple NFL Hall of Famers along the way. Don't get me wrong. I want North Texas to completely destroy them every time we meet. But, I do respect them. They have earned that. You should hope that some day FAU might come close to accomplishing what some of the programs in C-USA have done.

As for my 2 cents, I've said it before... I think Kiffin was a bad hire. The post above, with him partying with those coeds only reinforces my belief. He might win a few games, but he will probably end up getting their program in big trouble with the NCAA, and that is bad for C-USA.

I guess we will next hear about the great impact the 2 f_u's had on our tv contract.

I hope FAU is as good as the one FAU fan...thinks they will become. If so it helps the conference. But it's crazy putting down a Tech program that does more with less than most in this conference. A sign of a good program is getting off the mat and fighting back to respectable and then compete for championships. Winning those championships are important...

but being in the fight more years than not is right up there.Program as in both major sports.

As a conference we need for those top 5 or so to up their game and then the middle and bottom to take a step up. Not one year but build off of that.
