It seems he's finally learning from past mistakes. I'm happy for him. And it's always nice to see Ole Miss lose (twice tonight!)
A bad night for the Black Bears. 04-cheers

This is the third time I've seen GT play and each time they never seemed rattled even when they're out-talented. Very poised team under 5:00 mark with crisp passing. I have to give credit to the coaching staff and that includes Josh for having their players ready

So is Josh Pastner a good coach that couldn't get it done at Menphis, or does he have a schtict that only lasts a few years before everyone grows tired of it.

NIT wins are not much to get excited about. Pastner will probably make a big deal out of this....and that is a bit of his act.

There are numerous coaches who didn't do so well or ok in their first stint but were very successful later on down the road at other programs or coaching other teams. Perhaps we might be seeing that here in this case. Only time will tell.

He
doesn't have entitled players who could think they do what they want, walk out of practice, etc
Does have a good x/o coach
Has kids who are smarter for the most part and listen to the coaching staff and do as told
Has support of fan base; that carries over to players
Doesn't have players with parents, uncles, entourages in their ear
Doesn't have Very high expectations from fan base

That's just a start but most important. I called for him to be dismissed in 11/15 and I don't think it would have worked here even with the above as the fans were done with Josh.

Pastner coach'n em up again.

In all seriousness, maybe he's learned to listen to assistants

If you have season tickets like you say and are as much of a basketball genius as you claim to be, you'd realize that this post is mostly crap.

7 years of terrible fundamentals and excessive transfers is not all on the players. I watched every single home Pastner coached game from the stands except for 2 and although not a basketball 1%er like yourself, it was consistently some of the worst fundamentally coached basketball I've ever seen, excluding a few games.

I really wish those of you (like racecarguy and you) with agendas would just come clean.

The dancing around what you really think is tiresome and you're really bad at hiding it.

Can you not read and comprehend my post? Not going over every issue as it is self explanatory. Did this terrible basketball look pretty much like our half court offense this year? It was close to the lowest execution rate in Division 1. If you had any idea of the s*** the players tried and did do, you would think twice about your post.

Gotcha. 0% pastner, 100% players. For 7 straight years.

Game. Set. Match.

There's only one poster here apparently that knows the game of basketball, and its in and outs. The rest of us have no clue. It's nice being reminded again and again, isn't it?

Pastner took his time coming to his postgame presser: "Sorry folks, I was taking pics with people from Memphis."

Courtney Asher Smith‏ @RebelWalkCAS

Pastner believes if Austin Nichols would not have left U of M, Tigers would've been in Top 20 all year and made NCAA Tourney.
