RPI is roughly 50 percent opponents' winning percentage, 25 your own winning percentage, and 25 opponents' opponents' winning percentage.

So even though Rice's RPI isn't a disaster because of the schedule they played, opponents who play them are picking up more of the 6-17 (record) than the #1 SOS.

Wed night was a bad night for CUSA baseball.

CUSA weekend play games with CUSA record in parenthesis. All games are scheduled for Friday-Saturday-Sunday but could change due to the weather.

La Tech (0-3) at Charlotte (2-1)
WKU (1-2) at MT (0-3)
ODU (3-0) at UTSA (1-2)
Marshall (2-1) at USM (3-0)
FIU (1-2) at Rice (0-3)
FAU (3-0) at UAB (2-1)

Marshall at USM is now a DH on Friday beginning at 4:00 pm CST with game 3 being either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning (11:00 AM CST). Weather forecast for Hattiesburg on Friday is 10% rain, on Saturday is 70% or so rain from 9:00 am to 5:00 PM. Sunday is 20% or less so in all likelihood game 3 will be then.

This thread is DEAD. USM gets a walk off 2 run homer for the 1st game of the DH vs Marshall. That's 9 in a row for USM.

helluva first game with MU....goes 11 and our 9 hitter goes walk-off yard after two failed bunt attempts to move the lead-off runner to 2nd....final score 5-3 eagles...

USM beats Marshall 5-3 in 11 innings. USM gets a 2R walk off HR by the #9 hitter. Game 2 starts at 7:45 pm....kinda has the CUSA tournament feel with the last game starting close to 8:00 pm.

Charlotte leading LT 12-2 in the top of 6th. LT has issued 9 walks to this point.
