But then comes the Texas politics into play,........ it still might work, but Texas Tech and Baylor are screwed (TCU would be screwed too, but they have already been screwed and they know how to deal with it) but Texas politicians have a long memory, but it still might work.

The thing that just might throw the biggest monkey wrench into the works is this: Texas (as well as Oklahoma), don't need the SEC to make money. They might make more with the sec but they don't need the sec to make more money than any other school.

It's not even remotely our only chance of landing them. Like I've said many times they have been in discussions with us at least 3 times since '90. I think the PAC is their only other alternative other than sticking it out. I don't see them headed to the Big 10. They can't move the center of their fans' world that far away and play only a couple of remotely close schools. And if they head to the PAC or ACC they lose money. So...... No matter what you may spout X it will come down to geography and money. It's a business and a business that is only obliquely attached to the academic institution. Where Texas, or anyone, plays sports doesn't affect their standing academically one Iota's worth and that's the reality. All the smack about it is pure ignorant hooey!

And I hope you are Lenville! 72-3 is the average life expectancy of a man. I hope I exceed it as well.

JR, I am sure you have reason to believe that you are correct about the SEC's communication with Texas, and I know for certain that the ACC has had multiple conversations with South Carolina. You don't think those two things are linked, do you?04-cheers

If they were linked the public would never know about it until it was a fait accompli.

I see Maryland unhappy and will crawl back to the ACC. Add ND all in to the conference and BiG back fills with UCONN.
