Bummer. I really like UC.

UC was under-seeded but UCLA was grossly under-seeded.

Not sure how the Bruins are a 3 seed. They're 31-4. They've got wins AWAY from home over Nebraska, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Ohio State, Arizona, and now Cincinnati. They also beat Michigan at home and didn't lose to anyone that failed to make the round of 32.

Their 4 losses? 2 to Arizona and 1 each to Oregon and USC.

We could show the movie baseketball on repeat, and see if aresco decides to start up the sport.

East Coast Bias. Arizona, UCLA and Oregon are very good, yet I saw a lot of predictions that had them losing early in the tournament. I had 2 of the 3 in the elite 8 in my bracket and one in the final 4. I won't say which teams so as to not offend. Great game Cincinnati, and great year! You guys had to play a tough game and led for a lot of it.

Cheers!

I have been very impressed with the PAC 12. They are currently 8-1 in the tournament (And USC almost took Baylor last night).

Not as "quick" as Memphis... Our season was a week longer than the Tiggers...

That's cool. But you still couldn't get out of the first weekend. You guys must feel some angst.

Why, we are still a top 25 team. Now Memphis, you should feel some angst. You cannot even say what about next year.

Being top 25 is all that matters? Not Sweet 16? That's why Pastner and soon to be Tubby got ran off for. That ranking meant squat if we couldn't advance some years.

Play the strawman argument all you want. You have not been good in the last ten years. At the end of the day, we are tp 25, you aren't top 100. Think about that

RE: Go Bearcats! Last AAC hope in the Tourney.
Good year Cats. Was really hoping we could have pulled the upset last night.

No way is UCLA a 3 seed. They shredded our defense in the second half and made it look easy. That 7foot center is automatic from 15ft. Their bigs aren't physical and they don't like to bang down low, but they do everything else and Ball is the real deal. Alford's son killed us too. That team can flat out score the basketball. We held them to their lowest first half total or the year. I really thought we had a chance and then reality set in. We have a nice offense but we don't have one that can go toe to toe with UCLA.

I think had we drawn 90% of the other teams left yesterday instead of UCLA we win (im a homer). UCLA beat UK at Rupp and they will beat them again next game. In fact, I don't see them losing to anybody right now. UNC barely beat an ok Hogs team. UCLA will make them look bad if they meet.

Anyway, wish we could have brought home a winner but alas the PAC was too much for my Cats.

That 2-3 minute stretch when UCLA hit the 3's, and UC got out of what they were doing offensively and tried to play as fast as UCLA ended the game for the Bearcats.

Btw hoops season isn't over yet. We still play Illinois State tonight and if we win play at home again. Illinois State is tough and we likely lose but it ain't over just yet.

Well, that's patently false. Even if you want to throw out the title game appearance 9 years ago, there was also a Sweet Sixteen and several top 25 teams. I think that 2014 squad was top 25 from start to finish.

Cincinnati is a good program and had a great year. Don't allow one troll to get your hackles up.

Even though the B1G is 8-4, they have actually been more impressive. The PAC's teams were highly-seeded, so have basically done what was expected. The PAC was supposed to put 3 teams in the Sweet 16, and that's what they've done.

But the B1G was only seeded to have 1 team in the Sweet 16, but have 3. That's more noteworthy, IMO.

That's college basketball in the tournament: A bad 2-3 minute stretch can end your season.

And after going back and checking on it, it was just a 64 second stretch where UC went from up by 1 to down by 8.

I agree the Big 12 has been impressive as well. Kansas looks as good as anyone right now and WVU is tough as nails.

Agree, but believe it or not, by seeding the Big 12 has just done what they were supposed to - three teams expected to make the SW16, and three did so.

On the other hand, the SEC has overperformed. They were expected to put UK and UF in the SW16, but USC-east made it as well.

Touchy subject. Anyway, injuries ravaged the team this year. They played well in spurts this year. They will be improved next year although I am not sure if they will be back to a tourney team next year.
