Rumors of LSU courting and media speculation on Okla State.

I'm hearing increasingly that Will Wade is likely the guy if they can't get Crean.

That said, Space posted in another thread but some may not see it...

It is the same old thing for every fan of a mid major. If Kermit doesn't go it is because they don't want him.

Not exactly. He had the chance to be HC at his alma mater Miss St and turned down the big $$ to stay here... He's a hot commodity and has been for a while but has stuck with our program like we have with him.

Yeah I'm biased, but anyone with the kind of SEC background KD has, must know LSU is a true snake-pit. I'd be mildly surprised if he goes anywhere at this stage of his career, but I'd be shocked if he goes there.

This board (and probably all of them) sometimes.

Oh yeah Kermit is gone. No way he won't take the money.

Days later. Well since he's staying no one wants him.

Good thing life is so black and white in every situation. Sigh

The truth is you have no idea what you are talking about. You don't know the man. Don't know his character and have no idea how important the community is to his daughter. Not everyone fits in a box you want or believe everyone else should be in.

Let's be honest, every time this happens in any sport it's the same thing.

Homers always think their coach will turn down money and prestige because of attachments. I wish this were true, but it isn't.

I mean honestly.....WKU folks were saying it with Brohm and he left for PURDUE.

No, it's not the same thing. You haven't slightest f'n clue what you are talking about. Generalizations don't fit every situation no matter how much you want it to be true.

Oh and I'm by far not a homer. If my school/athletic dept needs to be called our or sucks at something I'm not afraid to say it.

One last thing. I'm not even saying that he won't eventually leave as early as this year. I'm just telling you that he has some very important reasons why he believes staying is as much of a good decision for him and his family than going somewhere else.

To be clear, nearly every WKU fan thought Brohm would leave for money.....however, some thought it wouldn't be Purdue.

While exceedingly rare, there are some exceptions. One of them is coaching in the Sweet 16...

I understand that, but the part that you don't understand and why you don't know what you think you know in this particular case has many reasons.

Kermit is not a 36 year old looking to make a name for himself and the next posh gig.

If he goes he goes. We will be in much better shape to make a hire than 10 years ago for sure.

But if he stays... it won't be because no one else would hire him. That's really an absurd angle to take.
