OT-Clarkston Win Women's NCAA
Clarkston defeated Wisconsin in the NCAA Women's Hockey Championship 3-0. They defeated Minnesota in the semifinals on Friday night.

Too bad Toledo does have a team (men and/or women) in a hockey crazed town.

Good thing the university is planning to plow a ton of money into a couple stadiums they will only use 6 weeks a year.

The gender equity trade off for men's/women's hockey versus the men's/women's ball teams could be pulled off nicely. But my only concern is the $$$ needed for an on campus rink and possibly digging into men's and womens basketball attendance...

1. build only a practice rink on campus that has 6 locker rooms and seats 1,000 - 1,500 people that you can rent out to high school teams and rec functions on campus. and play at home contests at the Huntington Center downtown. I'm sure they would love another tenant or two there.

2. don't schedule the basketball and hockey games at the same time or weekend......
