Another opportunity akin to after we won the WNIT. What do we turn it into these next few seasons? Will be an interesting time!

Even though the goal is always to make the NCAA tournament, I actually think that the NIT championship presented a greater recruiting opportunity. Every year a MAC team wins the MAC tournament and gets an NCAA bid. Historically that has not translated into much long-term. However, it is not every year that a MAC team draws a raucous sell-out for an NIT final. Any recruit who was at that game or saw a video of it should have been impressed.

The table is set for future success, with hopefully the Rogers girl coming back healthy. Keeping the best local talent (Cummings/Copeland) at UT will be paramount for future NCAA appearances. I could never figure out losing players to other MAC schools with obviously the best coach/facility/fan base that you could ask for. The Rocket ladies had a remarkable year, and I believe, the best is yet to come.
