Seconded. UConn to the Big East is what's best for all parties at this point.

If the big east wanted UConn they would been gone yesterday. They are stuck here with the rest of us misfits. Welcome to pergatory.

Doubtful. UConn keeps chasing this football thing, but they're a basketball school in a conference with a group of football (or in the case of SMU/Cincy, balanced) schools. UConn makes worlds of sense for the Big East and Fox, both in terms of packing the conference tourney (and thus holding on to MSG) and getting FS1 the UConn women as broadcasting inventory. They just need to get realistic about what their situation is.

They are and it's right here in the AAC. Get used to it, because unless the P5 calls, we're going to be here for quite a long while.

If an invite was on the table UConn would have accepted by now. The fact of the matter is you're not wanted :'(.

IDK but hunch tells me Wichita to the AAC is all but a done deal.

Crossing the T's

Nope, they're not joining. No more than UCONN's going to the Big East. 'Member when that was a thing? Now it's WSU to the AAC. Still not happening.

Apples Oranges

UConn's challange is what about our football program if we bolt to the NEWbigeast... Unlike Wichita State they don't have football concerns.

Both sides (AAC and Wichita State) benefit from this marriage.

This UCONN fan never believed the reports sending UCONN to the nBE. It was a red herring, IMO. Just like I don't believe the reports that have Wichita St coming to the AAC as a bball only. Other than tourney credits, what's the upside? I don't believe for a second that ESPN gives any thought to propping this conference up in bball, via "compelling" games. To do so would mean having to pay us more for our next contract, and that's just something that they have zero desire to do.

Ok buddy. I don't know what your problem is with Wichita State but I've about had enough of this crap. There's a butt load of good reasons to add them.
#1. Tourney Credits
#2. My cousin went to school there.
#3. It's the biggest basketball rivalry Tulsa has.
#4. We don't have to make a conference tourney bracket with an odd number of teams. I mean, do you know how stupid that makes us look??? How do you expect people to respect us with 11 teams in a bracket? People are like, "Power 6? You can't even make a tourney bracket correctly, morons."

So I say enough is enough! I've had it with this monkey-fied hate on this Monday to Friday subject!

Good day!!!

Yep, cancel your football as it's worthless

Nah, it's a fun little thing in the fall, but there's nothing American football adds to UConn that they can't acheive as an Indy. The whole reason they started up a football program in the first place was to save basketball in the coming Big East split, but there's a perfectly viable high-major basketball-only conference with the old name and everything. Had they known that would happen it's questionable they would have moved up football at all to begin with. At this point they're throwing good money after bad accommodating a football team that was only created to accommodate basketball.

Are you high right now? You'd have to be to post a steaming pile of monkey crap that is the bolded text.

Nope. Aspiring to be a middle-of-the-road team in a G5 conference isn't all that different from going football Indy and going 6-6/7-5 there. They can have some fun football seasons that result in a bowl appearance set the table for basketball just fine with a CUSA scheduling agreement and some lower-level ACC/B1G/Big 12 teams.

I'm sure its a nice sentiment, but it's wrong. Conference is only four years old, and it's still more lucrative for UConn because of the remainder of the OBE money. That math changes pretty soon. Once they opted to go with the football schools, they were never jumping ship after only two seasons (especially after winning the NC in year one).

I think Tulsa should be significantly better next year as our group of new players should be more familiar with each other and Haith's system. Additionally we had a proven D-1 transfer sit out this season. Looking at what teams lose and who they get Healthy I will go as follows.

1) Cincinnati
2) SMU
3)UCONN
4) Tulsa
5) UCF
6) Temple
7) Houston
8) Memphis
9) ECU
10) Tulane

Out: Mark Williams, Daniel Dingle
In: Josh Brown, Dre Perry, JP Moorman, Nate Pierre-Louis, Justyn Hamilton (potentially Trey Lowe too if he somehow is healthy enough to play basketball again)

Our entire freshman class is better than Mark Williams already. Going to be a significantly better team next year.

That's part of the reason but UC is still living the football fallacy. They wouldn't have spent $90 million on nippert renovations to join a b-ball only conference.
