Lots of questions. Maybe you should learn to read.

UC has never been a blue blood, and you want to talk about fans with heads up their asses? We never will be with fan support like yours.

Unlike you, I don't root for your uncle Mick one way or the other. I root for my UC Bearcats.

Exactly where does he say he roots for Cronin and not UC? I'd argue that you're not rooting for UC if you're rooting against Cronin. The guy is an alumnus, does things the right way, and is unquestionably successful.

We are not a blue blood. If you think we're entitled to high school all-Americans and deep tourney runs I've got news for you: we're not. Who knows if we'll ever be, but we aren't presently and running off a successful coach isn't going to change that.

Just look at the fact that he didn't make a single post throughout the whole game. Never congratulated the Cats on the great win. His only post was to come into this thread to admit he's a Cronin hater. He's got UC season tickets for the sole purpose of shooting spit balls at the back of Cronin's head.

These next two games give UC a chance to get back to some level of national prominence. Beat UCLA and the western AP voters will remember that come next year and this game will be seen by a lot of western fans who normally don't get to watch UC. Then stick it to Kentucky ( think WSU has a 50-50 Chance ) with the whole nation watching and we are back in the conversation. I really think UC is a better TEAM than Ky.

Agreed on all points.

Let's do this.

WTF is a "blue blood," anyway? There are about ten programs that are clearly above ours, historically. We should be competing with everyone else, as we consistently did both in the distant past and over a certain recent 16-year stretch.

P.S. Unfortunately, UCLA and UK are two such programs.

The one's who basically have weak Eastern Conference NBA teams every year.

This. 1000 times this. UCLA, UK, UNC, Duke, Kansas and Indiana. That's the list of programs i'd put as clearly above uc (tbe blue bloods) . I aspire to get uc back in that group but uc compares favorably to everyone else and should treat itself as such.

I'd throw Michigan State, UCONN, and as much as I hate to say it: Louisville into that group as well. Only because of recent success and national perception. Out of the schools you mentioned, Indiana has been on the schnide for a pretty long time.

Also we should be able to compete with UCONN every single year because they are stuck in this same ****** conference.

RE: Kansas State vs. Cincinnati Game Preview
The bluebloods all became prominent in the late 40's, 50's and early 60's, all except UCLA who had the Wooden run. But one thing all these bluebloods had in common was they had no pro teams to compete with, they were basically the only game in their state and they took advantage of that. Kentucky, N.C.. Kansas, Indiana, Nebraska in football, Ohio State in football. They have had there rabid fan base for half a century or more, most who have not attended their state school. Of coarse, there is an exception or two, Cincy's loyalties are just way to divided.
