Didn't we open the tourney last year too?

Yes. There's good and bad to that. Good is that EVERYONE watches us. Bad, is I'll be at work.

I had literally just told my wife I may be "working from home" Thursday depending on when Uncw plays.

Here's an article on uva defense

5 seed Colorado gettting sent to ucf in Orlando. Would it not have made sense to flip Charleston and Colorado. Charleston got a rough break

we already played ucf,and Colorado st. already played Colorado.

RE: 2017 NCAA Selection Show
Is avoiding a rematch worth shipping two schools across the country with less than 48 hours notice?

RE: 2017 NCAA Selection Show

I think the winner of CofC and Colorado State wins a 2nd game over Cal and has a favorable potential run to MSG.

Eh it nothing everybody on this board doesnt know. Good mids will never get the big boys to play them. They will always pick off the lower tier mids or low majors for their buy games and then will face other power conference teams to boost the non conference. Unfortunately there is 0 incentive for the power schools to play good mid majors, and even less to play them at their place. Syracuse, who was considered a snub, proved that this year with their god awful non conference that had bad losses. All they need to do is win a few games in conference and the conference will take care of the rest of the number-inflating needed to make the tournament.

Agree, which is why i wish the committee would reward teams who went on the road for out of conference games

Ironically, this is one of the better non conf schedules for Cuse. They played a decent SC team, Wisc, (uconn and G'town both who are usually very good).

RE: 2017 NCAA Selection Show
Syracuse played one non-conference game outside NY. That was Wisconsin and it was scheduled for them.

They played a weak ACC schedule. They played BC, Pitt, Ga Tech, and Louisville twice. Everyone else once.

PS. They had a losing record against the ACC schools they played twice.

They deserved to be left out, I'm just saying this years out of conference was better than it normally is. They are notorious for playing a week OOC. As far as in conference, that's the division they play in, Zero control over that.

RE: 2017 NCAA Selection Show
If the Cuse wants to improve their resume, they need to play more games against good teams outside of New York and win some. They are notorious homers, where they are tough to beat. But as far as the selection committee goes, they made their own bed.

Northeastern opened the tournament the year before that too. Hate to be the first one out, but everyone watches you and it'll be glorious when you win!
