Congratulations UCF
I'm sorry that I missed doing this yesterday. As gentlemen, the loser should always congratulate the winner.
If there were a stronger word than "winner", I'd use it because that was an old fashion beat down yesterday.
Congratulations to the Knights and Knight fans on the outstanding play yesterday. Out shot, out rebounded, out hustled, out coached, out played.......if I missed anything else that you guys beat us in, feel free to add; I won't argue.
If you go back and look, I was a big proponent of your signing Taco when everyone else was pretty cavalier about it. He's a real player and from all indications a good kid, good citizen, good student.
Congrats Knights!!

Thanks OT. As always, you are a class act. It's been a fun and unexpected run his year. I really like what Coach Dawkins brings and look forward to him continuing to build us up.
Agree with your comments on Tacko. Great kid and fun to watch him grow on the court!

Tough loss to SMU today, they are really good. Good luck in the NIT, surely, they have to pick you. Make it to the final four, we'll be rooting for you.

Thanks but fans never lose (or win) games...We are just usually happy or sad based on the play if 18-22 year olds (which is crazy to think about if one ponders that closely).

If the Knights bring back the majority of their players, they are going to be hell next year.
Where is the AAC tournament next March?? Houston? Certainly not MEMPHIS....

UCF should have 9-10 new eligible players next year as 3 of the 7 eligible players this year were seniors/redshirt seniors. (Biggest loss is Matt Williams but guards /wings redshirting all shoot the 3, including Dawkins son who shot 44% at Michigan last year, better percentage than Matt).
With 6 players redshirting this year, plus incoming HS recruits, UCF will have another scholarship to use as Dawkins son will be a walk on so another scholarship can be used on someone else.
UCF played to survive this year (14 games UCF had just 6 scholarship players, others had only 7) so UCF had to play a very slow style on both ends of the court.
Next year could/should be totally different but can they all play together?
We will find out soon as team plays in tough Disney Tournament in Week 2-3 of the season.

This has been such an exciting basketball season for us. There is a lot to be optimistic about looking to next year. I am still savoring our NIT win over Colorado.

Nice win UCF! It'd be nice to win the NIT and grow to the NCAA tourney next year. Confidence and a stepping stone but have to take one game at a time.
