The ODU part of me wants Rhodes to stay and keep building good stuff at Rice because CUSA and, by extension, ODU benefits when programs get better.

The VCU part of me wants Rice to give us our coach immediately and smile while they're doing it.

I shoulda just gone to Christopher Newport ...

The fact that you are part ODU and part VCU just proves you were a wrongly programmed cyborg. I don't know how you do it...

Self loathing and alcohol. In no particular order.

Rice’s Mike Rhoades is in advanced talks with VCU and is expected to be the Rams’ next coach, a source told @CBSSports.

Double also: IT'S 2017. LET MY PEOPLE EMBED TWEETS.

Embed tweets? On a BBS forum? We're already living in a bygone era of the internet here on this site, so I'd be surprised if we ever get the power to embed tweets. But I've been surprised before.

I hope he tells Evans to stay at Rice if he heads to VCU.

My corporate proxy blocks tweets, so this works better for me. #leaveitalone #2005

I hope Evans comes back home to his former coach's rival school in hopes of beating him in our guaranteed OOC game every year he has left of eligibility!!

One could only hope lol

That dude might as well put on a tight dress and strut up and down Airline Highway at this point.

I think LSU's a pretty good basketball job. They have good facilities, lots of fans, ample funds, etc. Everyone they've hired since John Brady has been really bad, though. You could pretty much tell a few weeks into season 1.

Steve Fisher retiring at San Diego State (he's 72 now). Since it's kind of late in the game, I'd suspect they'll bump up one of the assistants to the head coach position.

UNM hiring the NMSU coach. That has to sting for Aggie fans.

I believe that's what they did. They apparently had a "coach-in-waiting."
