RE: UCF Athletics Village
Toledo has not exactly dominated the MAC in anything for some time, and now we are too good for the MAC, blah blah blah...
This just in folks - We are not going anywhere...I have spent 10 years in California and 2 in Colorado and never have I once heard the MAC being referred to as Div.2 or Div.3 ...
Actually the MAC has more history/stability/longevity than the AAC/CUSA/Sunbelt conferences all put together...

They have the $$$ that we can never match. So without $$$ it is like trying to say that we should be as good as any 64k school which is not realistic? Maybe I'm missing your point?

I've always said it, and some don't want to hear it, but here I'll say it again.........
The REAL Problem with Toledo Athletics is the association with the MAC......
people are judged upon the company you keep.
The MAC is seen as a 2nd or even a 3rd tier conference
and there are a lot of schools pretending to be Division I in the MAC.

I don't know how many times people have said to me, "aren't you guys Division II"

There are a lot of schools pretending to be Div.1 in CUSA, the Sunbelt, and even the overrated AAC...

The Rocket Fund is currently accepting donations. You can help put the pedal to the metal.

UCF stadium seats 44,000
2016 average home attendance 36,000

Is that 36,000 average correct???

You better believe once I'm capable, I'll be a big Rocket donor. But you don't go asking recent college graduates for donations of this magnitude.

I'm with Terry on this one...we should at least be trying to get out of the MAC.

Okay, so we haven't won many MAC titles lately...but look how many MAC titles Temple & UCF won (zero), yet look where they're headed. Toledo wins big games against big time programs. Toledo produces NFL caliber talent on a yearly basis. These things put us on the national map.

I'd love to be in the American Conference right now. There would be an opportunity to grow the fanbase and bring in some respected programs on a yearly basis. Maybe the American doesn't want us? Well, I'm sure if Toledo put in a serious effort and drive campaign, there would be some serious consideration.

Hey if the MAC could shed a few teams that I will not name, and possibly bring in Cincy, Temple, UConn, Marshall, and WKU...
A regional and respectable league in football and basketball...
