I don't want to spend a billion bucks on restrooms. I just want equality. But its the GOP that is f'ing that up.

61% voted no. Nice try.

After millions in ads by the GOPers calling Trans people child molesters. Basically this was a Kubosh/GOP/Hotze operation.

Millions? Liar. 03-lmfao The alphabet soup gang had 5 times the money backing them.

Yea, but with all the 'free' church advertising and the 'free' ads on religious programs, its easily millions on their end.

Did you even bother to notice that in the video, he apparently (based on the links added) names some sources... among them seem to be USA Today and HuffPo??

Besides, MUCH of this is based on opinions, not facts... like 'which bathroom someone should use'.

I disagree with many on the right of the issue... and seem to agree with b0nds...

I think if you 'present' as a woman, you should use the women's. If you present as a man, you should use the men's. If you present as a man but don't have a *****, then use the stall. Women best I know are ALL stalls.

The only time you'll get hassled is if someone KNOWS you're TG'd and is being a moron (in which case we know who the are and if they make a habit of it, there will be evidence against them and they can be prosecuted) OR if you are causing trouble... which would only happen if you're not really TG'd, or if like Tom, you're more interested in causing issues than resolving them.

We aren't suddenly going to re-build hundreds of thousands of buildings with public restrooms to accommodate a tiny fraction of the already tiny fraction of the population that is not merely trans, but 'in process' trans. All NEW buildings have 'family/gender neutral bathrooms'. We didn't do it for the millions of handicapped or single dads with daughters or moms with sons (or just ANY individual adult caring for children of the opposite gender in public). We aren't doing it for the transgendered.

That's not discrimination Tom. That's equal treatment.

How's THAT for logic on Transgendered Arguments from people who don't appear to be consumed with animus towards the LGBT community?

I'm not watching Ben Shapiro..He's a long standing rabble rouser against Trans people. Kind of like a modern Fred Phelps.

Everyone will know at schools and in work environments. That's why HERO was so vital.

I don't want to spend a billion bucks on restrooms. I just want equality. But its the GOP that is f'ing that up.

Who asked you to watch it? I didn't watch it. I noted the links included below the link for the video to 'mainstream' sites. That's what I asked you to do.

I gave you a legitimate argument and you once again, ignore what I said and keep arguing with 'someone else'.

Describe equality then, Tom... and tell me how that doesn't cost a lot of money. Stop using euphemisms and platitudes and tell me 'what it looks like'. If it looks anything like converting/remodeling/redesigning probably tens of millions of public restrooms across the country, then you ARE talking about spending a ton of money. If you're talking about a virtual free-for-all where anyone can use any restroom, then tell me how that doesn't put people at risk from predators. If you're going to allow trans-persons to choose whichever bathroom they like, but require that everyone else stick with what's on their birth certificate, you tell me how that meets any definition of 'fair', and more importantly, you tell me how we're going to stop predators from taking advantage of that... unless we start checking for medical paperwork at the restroom door.

If you want to act like this isn't an issue (predators in restrooms, and I'm not talking about trans-persons) then you've got your head in the sand and have no business talking about it. FTR, I love how 'your side' simultaneously argues that only a small percentage of children are assaulted (including filming) by strangers in public restrooms, yet it's a larger percentage than the population that is trans-gendered... Again, where does 'fair' come into play? You're okay harming 2% of children under 13 so as to not embarrass 1/2 of 1% of adults and likely fewer than 1 in 1,000,000 of children under 13. They may well be trans (a few more than that) but they don't know it nor do they have a problem using the restroom associated with their physical gender. Yeah... you're all about equality and fairness.

If the ADA didn't require it, then this won't either. I've offered you exactly what the ADA offered MORE people as a compromise.

Michael Hughes is a transgender male.

Would it cause more of an uproar if he used a men's restroom or a women's restroom?

I'd wager on the latter.

Which is why I support the 'how you present' position. Of course, I suspect he is LONG past 'transitioning', which is really the challenging time.
