Was there ever any doubt? Making it a point system across all sports pretty much guarantees that UCF will win most years.

Before it was a branded thing from the schools, I kept up a points tracker for a few seasons. We dominated the year we joined the conference but USF closed the gap and it was a tie or close to one last year (15-16)

Good to see us opening it up a little even with football down. There's always been a huge
gap between our tennis programs but Roddick and USTA should help UCF catch up quickly

As long as we win in football, you guys can win every other sport.

Football, men's bball are important

If you're a real die hard women's bball, soccer and baseball.

Everything else is just for the students who do it and their families.

I'd rather have the football win.

Good point and I pretty much agree with you. But this is a decent indicator of which athletic program is better top to bottom. But certain sports are way more important to me so I'd rather have football and basketball and to a lesser extent baseball.

Not necesseraly. It just measures head to head meetings
Example your women's basketball team won the game but USF's will be going to the NCAA tournament was in top 25 and yours is not.

It's good for the message boards.

But there seem to be a few posters from Orlando who seem to get completely spun up about, and whose entire reason for existence seems to be, everything USF-UCF.

Hence the posts crowing about wins in track, softball, etc...

So I will disagree with our USF brethren. When we beat them in football all we heard about was their all sports program. It's just the nature of a rivalry.

The women's basketball game was big. USF was favored and it's worth 6 points since we only meet once. If USF wins that game then the "War on I4" standings are tied at 21 points each.

Football is of course King, and MBB is queen (prince?), but I'm still very happy to see the admin paying attention to the other sports. Throw in the medical city, the athletic village, the downtown campus, the rising standards, etc and it's clear that the entire university is on the right track.
