The best player in the league or the best player on Houston. Because other players in this league have a way stronger case.

Best player. Just my opinion of course. I like Lawson and Caupain as well. UConn's point is solid. Definitely would put Dotson in my starting 5 all conference team. #33 for SMU is also a beast.

I give it to Semi.

Here's the 5 best stat lines I could find from within this conference. The lines consist of the players totals from just conference games. Looking solely at the numbers which player is the most valuable to you?

G MP FG FGA FG% 2P 2PA 2P% 3P 3PA 3P% FT FTA FT% TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS
Player 1
14 35.8 6.2 14.8 .420 5.4 10.9 .490 0.9 3.9 .222 4.8 6.4 .753 8.7 2.6 1.6 1.9 2.3 3.1 18.1
Player 2
13 36.6 5.0 12.5 .399 3.8 8.9 .431 1.2 3.6 .319 1.7 1.8 .917 4.4 7.5 1.0 0.3 3.2 1.8 12.8
Player 3
13 33.2 8.2 17.9 .455 5.8 11.5 .507 2.3 6.4 .361 2.5 3.2 .780 3.4 2.9 1.5 0.2 2.8 2.4 21.1
Player 4
15 36.4 5.8 12.6 .460 3.7 7.1 .514 2.1 5.5 .390 4.8 6.1 .783 6.3 1.7 0.7 0.4 1.1 1.1 18.5
Player 5
14 35.3 7.1 13.6 .518 3.2 5.4 .592 3.9 8.2 .470 1.3 1.6 .783 6.9 1.3 0.7 0.1 0.9 1.8 19.3

Semi does lead the league in win shares, with Lawson 2nd, and Dotson 3rd. However I don't think people realize how good Dotson is because of Gray. He's probably the quietest 20 point scorer I've seen at the college level. IMO he's on the very short list of top talent in this league. (Spoiler his line is one of the 5 I listed)

*My apologies for the weird formatting for the stat lines*

I think Ojeleye is the best player in the league. For the record, so does Mick Cronin.

I would agree with that. I think Gary Clark is a close 2nd, however.

They are completely different players even though they play the same position. Ojeleye is a dominant scorer while Clark is very good in every facet of the game and the best post up player in the league.

I like Doston a lot as well, but as a wing you have to be more of a play maker on both ends of the court.

Excellent year so far and it is not over.

Next year we will be deep. BJ and Tacko are only going to get better too.

I like what I'm seeing from Tacko. His fluidity and awareness is very good. His athleticism is obvious. What sticks out most though is this kid LOVES the game. He was downright giddy when the horn sounded yesterday and UCF had won.

Lawson, Adams, Gray, Semi, Dotson in that order. Washington from Cincy and Tacko would have also been good choices.
