Great game SMU
Is what I would ordinarily say.

And I do commend the Mustangs for functioning more efficiently without Milton than UH did without Gray.

But this time, I got to congratulate the refs. I have never seen it so one sided in favor of the visiting team at Hofheinz in a critical game. I hope they got paid well for that hose job.

Haha! Congrats to the Refs! I've seen it all now!

Cheers!

I tried watching, but gratefully tapped out once our baseball game started. If we scrapped our basketball program, and split the money we waste on it into football and baseball, I'd support it.

In all seriousness I think UH is going to be just fine in basketball with the new facility opening in just over a season. You guys have the 2nd best history in the state in the sport (UTEP's national title puts them on top) and it's important for the conference that UH gets back to those glory days.

We'll see but I disagree, I think we're too far gone.

Refs sucked both ways. Our starters are just grinders. Actually all we have is starters, so its real easy.

That was set up as a big issue for us since foul trouble could really hurt us - and they were calling that very tight. Game took 2 hours and 20 minutes which is really a beat down.

Blame it on the refs. At least Memphis wasn't the only team to blow a double digit lead

Refs were consistent in their calls as the announcers stated.

All this proves is that both the announcers and the refs are on smus payroll.

RE: Great game SMU
Nice Game Cougars,

You started nice and had the Ponies on their heels for much of the first half.

It was a shame the refs felt the need to assert their presence and change the flow of the game and take some of our best players out on each side for significant minutes.

What can I say? Refs sucked, they did mostly suck both ways though. We were in the Coogs gym.

We adapted and found a way to win.

Good luck Coogies, especially against them bearcats!

/cheers

They didn't take anything away from Houston. They were awful both ways. If anything calling it tight favored Houston due to SMU's lack of depth

Yes, the refs were consistantly bad an should be demoted to the minor leagues

Not at all what the announcers were saying. They repeatedly noted how confused there players must be because obvious fouls were ignored while barely-touch fouls were called.

Now, if you meant consistently bad to both teams, I agree.

28 free throws for the ponies and 11 for my coogs, with our two most important players (at least for this game in foul trouble), you did grind out a win SMU but we got screwed on a lot of calls.
