Is the reason for screaming because you're angry that ECU could prevent UCONN from making the tourney? Or are you screaming due to being overjoyed ECU could prevent UCONN from making the tournament?
"Prevent"--? It's not about preventing anything. You have to root for your team. Is it because he used all caps or is it because ECU should lose for the good of the conference? Would you ever "root for the conference" over your own school?

Go Knights! Charge on!
It's Central Florida...get it right.
You can call us CFU for all I care. A championship is a championship.
Good season UCF. Now ECU is going to show everyone why we were a highly ranked team preason. A number 8 seed means UCF gets to go down first!
I said this before the AAC Tournament.

I love your enthusiasm, but we're getting bounced. After watching the last few weeks, going 2-1 against Cincy, Memphis, and Tulane, we've maybe got the skill to be a 5-7 seed, but probably closer to the 7 end.
Either way, between the top 4 (UCF, Houston, USF, and UConn), I wouldn't really feel better about playing any of them over the others. May as well play the 1's.
Really proud of our teams this year. Hope we can squeeze 5 in this year, and hope we can get 2 advanced. #AmericanPow6r!
Hi CoastalJuan, remember this conversation pre AAC tournament when 8th seed ECU was getting ready for #1 seed UCF? I hate to have to bump this but after schlonging UCF no one said anything...after the miracle over USF no one said anything.... so I say BUMP and go Pirates!!

Well, with all due respect to UConn's chances at an at-large, I want a Pirate victory tomorrow. If we had eliminated you with no shot at a regional I may feel differently...but its been a horrible year for ECU athletics and a trip to the post-season would be huge. Proud of how the team has played in the tourney; Houston will be a tough out, but I like our chances.

My goodness has it come to the point on here that we have to feel bad for our team winning??? This is insane

Two teams on a mission. ECU needs to win to go to the NCAAs. UH needs to win to have any chance at hosting a regional. ECU will be extra motivated after being swept by UH in the regular season.
No matter who wins, it's just nice to see two "little" guys from the CUSA run through the Big East left-behinds.

Cincinnati and South Florida were last in CUSA in 2004. Sure, they were in CUSA but they enjoyed a decade of BCS/P5 money and all of the advantages that came with membership.
Also, I'm a chick, bro.

Its all good....
But still, they were in CUSA, the only BE "pure blood" would be UConn and depending on your point of view Temple. Navy doesn't count seeing as they are football only and thus don't participate in the other sports in the conference.
But
UC and USF came first.
Then Memphis, UCF, Houston, and SMU came to this while it was still under the BE banner...even if it was for a year or two.
Then came Tulsa, ECU, and Tulane but at that point it was changed over to the AAC.

At what point in that post did I feel bad about winning? Knocking UConn out of a potential 5th bid sucks from a conference perspective, but if you think I feel 'bad' about that when we have a shot at the championship, you're wrong

This whole Big East vs CUSA in our league is getting old. First off the Big East never got the kind of money that the current P5 are getting, so it's not like UConn,UC and USF were piling on big money while in the Big East days. We are now going on our fifth year of all being in the AAC. So time to put that "advantage" to rest.
As for ECU well they are doing what they have to do to get into the tournament. I applaud them for getting as far and hope they finish the job today. If by doing so it knocks UConn out then hey aren't to blame, more like blame UConn for not doing well enough to get out of the bubble.
Good luck to both teams today. Hopefully we end up with 5 teams in the tournament

ECU winning should knock out USF. After all UCONN got to the semifinals and USF didn't. Not to mention UCONN finished ahead of USF in the standings. All of that = USF not in the tourney. Too bad, so sad USF. Guess you should've done more to get off the bubble.

In 2011, the Big East made $33.3 million on their tv contract and over $24.9 million from basketball units earned. The league distributed nearly $60 million to its members.
if that's peanuts then CUSA members were paid in used sunflower seed shells.
