I agree. OTOH, the AAC is still the 7th highest RPI rated conference. The reason is 8 out of the 11 AAC member schools are in the top third of the RPI standings. Memphis, for example, is terrible by it's historical standard this year, but manages to eke out an RPI in the top 32% overall.

this, 8 out of the 11 teams are a nut hair from being sub 100 RPI.

Tulane has a new coach and has improved it seems. ECU and USF need to blow it up and start over.

It's hilarious to read some Cincinnati fans long for the days of C-USA!

Conference Ranks (by KenPom):
AAC 2014 - 7th
AAC 2015 - 9th
AAC 2016 - 7th
AAC 2017 - 7th

CUSA 2002 - 7th
CUSA 2003 - 7th
CUSA 2004 - 8th
CUSA 2005 - 9th

Seems pretty similar to me. Maybe the UC fans should hope their team actually wins an outright league title or even ADVANCE to the conference title game let alone win in...07-coffee3

Random question.

The SMU-UCONN game Saturday is on the main CBS channel. IS there an app I can download so I can stream it on my phone?

CBS app or CBS Sports app?

I am curious of this as well. I have tried and can't seem to find it if it is available

Should clarify we're talking about the original C-USA ("C-USA 1.0") from '95-'05, not versions which came later

"CBS All Access" or "CBS Full Episodes and Live TV" depending on what phone you have. It is about $5 a month but has a 30 day free trial.

Reading Comprehension. He was actually longing for the days of the Big East. He even compared CUSA and the AAC as similar.

The AAC needs to be like the 2014 version, not the way it has been the last 3 years. The 2014 version is a very good conference and better than CUSA ever was. The last few years have been bad, and UC has been a part of that mediocrity before this year.

Right now, Cinci, Smu, Memphis, Houston are solid, I think if Memphis an Houston finish strong they should get play in slots in the tourney. It's a down year for the league, but I know things will improve, we're stuck with ea other for the next 3-5 years an we should be looking at 5-7 mil per the next go around.

I believe that the league is taking shape and is the best of the rest ,we surely have a solid tv contract with good exposure.

This is way early but I like the early signs I'm seeing from Tulane's MBB and football hires.

Tulane has but 5 wins this year but seems to be catching on. I've predicted they will starch ECU tomorrow.

Dunleavy's recruiting will be something to keep an eye on.

I think Houston, Memphis, and UCF deserve way more respect than they are getting. Houston and Memphis should probably be at large teams.

He can offer immediate playing time, first-hand knowledge/experience of what it takes to survive in the NBA, and an interesting city to live in. Not a bad combination.
