You are the biggest P***y I have ever seen that claims to be an StAte fan. UTA still has four games left and nothing is written in stone yet. But yet there you go giving up as usual and showing fear to the other teams. Man up and grow a pair for once. 01-wingedeagle

Cool. Thanks for opinion. I appreciate it greatly.

I don't see where I showed fear of UTA. If we had a 1 game lead and those 4 games left with the tiebreak, I'd probably be pretty darn confident of a win too. That's not fear of UTA, who I believe we can beat if we face in NOLA, but realism based on their remaining 4 opponents, 1 of which has 1 league win, and three of which are potentially going to be making coaching changes end of the season.

Appreciate the kind words. Say what you will, we have a maddening ability to play to the level of our teams, too many close games against teams that shouldn't be close. That was the case tonight in an exciting game against a good Eagle team. Scary to think about what the sophomore duo will do the next two years.

BTW, very impressed with the game day atmosphere at Hanner. May have been due to senior day, but that was the rowdiest crowd and ambience I have heard this year on the radio feed.

Sounds like someone is trying to lay down a jinx...

Are you saying you want to play the pre-season favorites, winners of nine of the last ten (the one loss a two-pointer on the road), five in a row (with four of the teams occupying 2, 3, 4 and six in the the current standings) and the team with an RPI nearly 100 points better?

UTA's lone NCAA appearance came when the top two seeds were beaten by other teams in the tourney. Almost happened in the WAC too. No shame in that. Especially when the tourney format is setup to make it as easy as possible for the top two seeds to advance to the championship.

Coastal beats USA. We needed that win to keep our chances alive of a good conference tournament seeding.

Latest RPI Update is out, and its good news for UTA which is up to 34. Also, a decent jump for AState up to 75. That puts UTA in range for an NCAA at large, and AState potentially in range for an NIT At Large.

Irony here is, not only do both teams need to win out their last 4 regular season games, they really need to make sure if they do lose, it's against the other in the SBC tournament for minimal RPI impact, also because it gives a top 100, or top 50 win.

UTA win out then lose in the championship game please.

We may have a shot at a 2-bid season.

While I can see why everyone else would support that, I'm not too keen on leaving it to the selection committee, so I'm gonna have to not root for your option.

Looking back on what it felt like to be a fan of a team that was a clear regular-season champ but missed out on the dance by dropping the tourney final, I'm thinking about what would have made that feel even worse. Having a 36 RPI would definitely do that.

It's worth noting the selection committee did not select a single mid major at large last season...Putting something to chance with them is never a good idea.

Yeah, but the big conferences are weaker this year. The Big Ten is having a downright awful year. PAC isn't very good. SEC, aside from a few top dogs hasn't beaten anyone. I think you could see a real swing this year, back to having higher side mid major numbers. Guess we'll see. Need the big boys to have few surprises in their tourneys.
