Especially when Huggins best team was essentially recruited by Cronin.

Terrific point. I posted this link in the realignment thread, as he spent some time discussing the UConn situation, but Chad also had some very good commentary, wondering seriously, why UC fans still pull for Bob Huggins (that is towards the end of the podcast).

Because Huggs > Mick. One will be HOF, the other will not get a sniff. Mick is our coach and I support him in that role but he'll never do for UC what Bob did.

What a bs comment. You don't know that. Boeheim made the HOF after 30 yrs of coaching. He won his first title in year 27. Only made the Final Four 3 times in 36 years. All at the same school. Syracuse. Cronin would have 26 more years of coaching available to match that. Never a sniff? Your hate for Cronin is pitiful.

Yes, clearly I hate Mick. That's why I have had season tix every year he's been our HC. And let me know when Mick has a recruiting class for himself as HC as good the one you referenced for Bob. Not that Mick deserves all the credit for that as you seem to think.

Well maybe he has one this year. We don't know that yet. But you're saying that for this year, and every year he's here. I said once before, you should donate your tickets to someone who appreciates them.

I'd give them to you but I'm sure as Mick's nephew you get much better seats than what I pay for.

I thought that Loyer was responsible for that.

That is just a complete sad joke of a statement.

My point (and Chad's) is that Huggins no longer gives a damn about UC - in fact, still holds a grudge to this day. If things were right, in Huggs' universe, the University of Cincinnati would go belly-up and close its doors.

I'm fine with the job Huggins did WHILE HERE. But if he's still wishing ill will on UC, as much as Chad says he is (and why would I doubt that?), why should I still root for him?

If anyone associated with UC wants to support Huggs, to each his own. I disagree, and will simply leave it at that, without the "get over it" business. I'm getting too old to throw barbs. Besides, it seems HUGGINS is the one who truly needs to get over it.

Yep. It's not like Huggs had anything to do with what went down. Sheesh.
