They are going independent, granted a waiver from the NCAA.

They have to meet certain guidelines to be classified FBS, like scheduling 5 FBS (or 4 with one qualifying FCS). If no one schedules them then their waiver is only good to wipe their ass with.

We still need to work on that perception. In the tweet comments, someone asked what conference they were going to and SunBelt was mentioned twice and no other conference was mentioned.

I do not see how a waiver was granted.Thought is was a firm RULE you had to have a conference invite.Puzzled.

I know that. I was just speaking of the perception that people just assume an FCS moveup would join our conference.

Because they have had all the qualifications to be the #1 or #2 FBS moveup....but have never been picked despite that....and the NCAA doesn't think it can win the lawsuit.

They will have NMSU and UMass for sure.....and they have the money to start buying games if they want or need to.

Kind of surprising. I'm very pleased with the addition of Coastal over Liberty. Now let's find UTA and Little Rock new homes and have two SBC schools add soccer so Hartwick and Howard can be trimmed and the conference will be cleeeeaaaannnn.
