Who's everyone playing what are your feelings about the weekend?

Troy is hosting Xavier, 2016 Big East champions. I know the BE isnt a baseball power house but they have 7 players on the preseason all conference teams. Going to be a tough weekend. We have to break in several new pitchers this weekend. Our O should score some runs. Xavier has a couple of solid Pitchers. Two interesting matchups-Childress (2016 closer and 2015 openning day starter) is our Friday night starter. Xavier's 2016 closer is the Sat G1 starter (sub 2 ERA).

Should be an interesting weekend for sure. Xavier didnt have a great record on the year last year but finished the season winning 18 of 22.

First time in a while that Troy has hosted a conference champ or quality team on opening weekend.

Cajuns have Southeastern Louisiana (SELA), Murray State, and Hoffstra.

Tournament at UNCW with two games against VMI, one against George Mason, and one against UNCW. Not sure what to expect this year, but we can certainly win three games this weekend. I think we go 2-2.

Chanticleers are hosting our annual Caravelle Resort's Baseball at the Beach tournament with Richmond, St. John's, Western Carolina, North Carolina A&T, and James Madison all participating (Coastal plays every team but NC A&T)...

Wednesday the 22nd we host regional rival College of Charleston in a one game match-up...

We've got New York Tech in our "Thank you for helping us start our Med School, now here's a baseball series" games. 4 total games with a Saturday DH.

We've got Ole Miss and Northwestern State next week, so this is our one shot at a warm up.

If our offense can improve we have a chance to be really good this year.

We have Marshall, Western Michigan, and BYU all at home this Fri. through Mon.

UTA has two-time OVC champs and pre-season favorite Southeast Missouri State and SFA at their place.

Georgia Southern hosts MTSU in a 3 game series.

Ace Kadon Simmons gives up a three-run 5th, UTA loses 4-3.

Coastal Carolina beats Richmond 8-5

USA's game with Eastern Illinois has been postponed until tomorrow due to weather. We'll have a DH tomorrow starting at 2 PM. We pushed the game from 6:30 to 7:05 to 8:05, but we've had to just move it to tomorrow.

South rained out Doubleheader tomorrow.

Astate beats NYIT 6-0

Our offense showed a lot of potential. Alex Cunningham and Andrew Beckwith--our star pitchers from the CWS--both played. Jason Bilous will pitch tomorrow. He was a phenomenal freshman last year that struggled with control coming off Tommy John. But Coach Gilmore says he consistently tops 98mph now with motion. It's going to be fun to watch. Tonight's attendance was 3,280 with a larger crowd expected tomorrow for the ring ceremony. How's everyone else's attendance?

MTSU has outhit GS 10 hits to 1....and the game is tied 5-5. Not as well as we'd like to be doing against a team that is probably one of the lesser teams in CUSA.

Evan Challenger is suspended for an incident at a Georgia Southern football game last year.

ULM takes out a good Dallas Baptist team 8-3.

Looks like it's going to be a looooong season. I'm thinking worse than 2015.

Ditto. We are anemic on offense and make too many fielding errors.

That's a quality win. Dallas Baptist is a pretty good program.
