Dennis Dodd on AAC Contract
Dennis Dodd was just on the College Sports Channel. He said the new AAC contract has been valued at just a bit over 2 million a year total with each team in the $200 k a year range.

RE: Dennis Dodd on AAC Contract
That makes me feel better about the contract. Dodd is right about the same amount of times as a broken clock.

What's the value of the current contract?

I assume this is in reference to the small CBS deal for basketball only.

This cannot be for football; it's less than the CUSA deal.

What's the value of the current contract?

$1.8M a year per team. That $200K can't be right. ESPN is making money on us at $1.8M.

Also, there is no new AAC contract for 3 years. We are right in the middle of the current one. He has to be talking about CUSA, which averages around $200K a year per team.

Dennis Dodd on AAC Contract
He was referring to the ESPN football contract to go into effect in 3 years. He was essentially saying the CUSA contract in the new norm.

He's full of crap. ESPN is making money on us now. Dodd works for CBS. How would he even know that, anyway? Fake news, lol.

When has the current CUSA ever been relevant in any sport, be it as a television draw or on the trophy stand... Dodd is a bozo

If that is the case there will be no AAC in a few years. Some of us could join the MAC, others the MWC and secure a much higher payday.

Nothing to see here.

It's more BS. Here is another tweet by Dodd this week. He's clearly pushing an agenda.

Dennis Dodd ‏@dennisdoddcbs Feb 13

A Group of Five playoff is still a thing.

that's completely silly

1 of 2 things is happening here, you someone how misheard him or he mispoke and was talking about c-usa

if you arent trolling, im 100% certain he was just talking about the new c-usa contract that was just signed..im 99% certain about that....

he regularly notes c-usa makes 200k on his twitter

dodd just released this article 2 days ago, about why he thinks the g5 playoff is possible, if our tv deal was valued at 2mil total he would have since made an article about it or posted it in that article
im close to 99% sure he was talking g5 playoff (in relation to his new arrticle) and his point was that c-usa is currently makes 200k they have nothing to lose

At worse our contract is going to be valued in the $2.5-$3 million range. That is at a fire sale price too.

CBS pays $200k a year so maybe referring to that? That is a small inventory of bb games.

That's a good point. Maybe that's the answer. That I would believe.

And he's pushing G5 playoff, DESPITE Aresco saying AAC will never, ever, ever, ever, ever be a part of it. What can't they understand about that. The NIU AD is the only person ever quoted about this that's in favor of it.
