RE: NFL Combine
Combine starts Friday, first chance for WKU's Forest Lamp to make some money....

Anyone else from CUSA experiencing the "small school" label?...All of these articles listing Taywan and Forest from a "small school"? They go on to rave about both but have to throw in "small school" any chance they get....Anyone else getting this treatment? What do they define "small school"? We play in same division as P5 even if an uneven play field, is that "small school"? I always thought "mid major" was ridiculous in basketball and now in football we have G5 and now "small school" ......DO "small schools" beat SEC teams and or have 2 or 3 guys drafted every year? To me the "small school" label is a slap in the face to our institutions...

I hate it. But it happens every year. "But what about the level of competition?"

Like we don't all play P5 teams on the road every year. And as if a combine player from an SEC school doesn't get an FCS game, a SB/CUSA game or two, and Vandy/MSU/Kentucky every year.

It is a slap in the face, but get used to it.

That article mentioned one of Carlos' games that they evaluated as "Southern Methodist". Since LA Tech hasn't played SMU since the WAC days, I presume they intended to say "Southern Miss"?

Lamp with 34 reps on the bench press, by far the most for OL...He has a good day tomorrow and we could have WKU's 1st ever 1st round pick in NFL...

Josh Norris of Rotoworld has Taywan Taylor and Carlos Henderson ranked in his top 5 receivers along with Corey Davis, John Ross and Mike Williams. 02-13-banana

I love the small school label lol... especially when schools like TXST are larger than most P5s. I mean I know what they're getting at but still....

You must have quit watching, Utah player had more reps and three others at 34

230lb OU RB Perine had 30 reps, impressive

Heck, just in the state, WKU is the second largest university (and growing) in terms of undergrads. I think, if anything, "small program" would be a better label.

John Ross from Washington just ran a 4.22 40 unofficial. Would be the new record. Unreal. Taylor from WKU had a good 40 too as well as a good broad jump.

RE: NFL Combine
Aaron Jones performed quite well for the combine scouts yesterday, placing in the top 3 in three separate categories and executing pass and running drills very well. I don't think he'll go high in the draft due to his height (5'9") and a previous knee injury, but he'll be a hidden gem for a team in rounds 5-7.
