Coastal Carolina goes 3-1 with maybe the toughest group of teams on the schedule
Coastal versus Richmond
Coastal versus Western Carolina
Coastal versus JMU
Coastal versus St. Johns

which one we going to lose

Don't know, but it will be impressive if you can win all of them. Richmond is one of the top A10 teams, Western is supposed to be a top SoCon team, and St. Johns is a preseason favorite in the Big East.

Going 4-0 with those games would be a tall order for most college baseball teams.

Fair enough

I just don't know how we are going to do

Obviously set the bar pretty damn high last year and we struggled early until we "figured" it out

I know 103 appears to be behind the visitors bench, but I was wondering for day games what areas tended to maybe be more covered by the canopy. How high up in rows do you have to be for it to have any effect (G, H, .....)?

I was also told the teal seats are more comfortable and they appear to be much more centered behind home plate. I note at this time there are a number of available seats in 104 and 105. Are youl finished with your season ticket packages since I seem to be able to purchase single game tickets?

Thanks

There's quite literally not a bad seat in the whole park, though the top two rows are usually the only ones that are completed shaded if memory serves. Don't expect to sit the whole game though; everyone at some point takes a stroll around the boardwalk. There's also a covered canopy with picnic tables on the visitor's side that's usually a first come first serve basis. It's great for early midweek games when the crowd is small but is always packed for weekend games, especially when the weather heats up. Coastal also has teal adirondack chairs like a lot of schools. Only this year they've really invested. So take a seat in the chairs, walk around the concourse, the boardwalk, or sit in a teal beach chair on the grass berm. We have the most beautiful stadium in the nation (in my very biased opinion) and the atmosphere is perfect.

Oh, and we recently installed bar tops around the boardwalk, because why not? I usually ditch my seat at games and stand. That view of the stadium and getting to watch fly balls up close is unbeatable.

That looks great. Def a beautiful stadium. But man, you have to come down to Lafayette to see one of the best atmospheres in all of college baseball. I read on your Athletic site that y'all's record crowd was right at 3,000 and 2,700 for another. Louisiana regularly packs in 3,500+. Even weeknight games have 3,000 fans. And now that we have the newly renovated grandstand to make capacity increase to 5,000, it is going to really be rocking.

Come down and enjoy some beautiful baseball scenery and enjoy one of our 20 beers on tap. We have tons of local brewery craft beers included in that selection. Cajun baseball is quite literally my most favorite thing by far about anything UL. Come down to Cajun country and you won't be disappointed.

That was for the previous year, when our stadium was not complete (we had no boardwalk or berms completed). We had a record crowd of 3,136, which will be blown out of the water come Saturday.

Actually last season we had 34 different beers on tap.

Early in the season we'll have some temporary concessions but by the time the park is fully functional all of the taps will flow.

We suspended season ticket sales when we got to the 3,500 mark. The season average of just over 4,000 last year will be shattered this season.

Can't wait for the trip to Conway. We get South Alabama and Coastal on consecutive weeks. Let's play ball.

You're shitting me, when did they announce this? I know CofC sells beer at sporting events, and I know from experience beer is free flowing in the suites, but I never imagined the common man being able to buy a cold one.

Just an update. Our official seating capacity for the Tigue has been 3755 with no upper boxes, just the field boxes. Our official attendance (tickets sold) last year was 4060. The top attendance game was against LSU in 1994 (as were four of the top 5) at 7583.

Looking at the photos of Coastal's stadium I'm really looking forward to the visit as it looks like a great facility and I love the area having visited a couple of times in the past.

Just talked with someone that said this is indeed happening. Not sure why it is seemingly being kept quiet.

Please correct me if any of this is wrong.

We have some tough games from non-power conferences. Xavier, Oral Roberts, UNCW, and Dallas Baptist are all preseason favorites in their respective conferences.

SELA, Western Carolina, and St Johns are no joke, either.

Weekend Series (15-7)
MTSU @ Georgia Southern (GS 2-1)

I for one will be disappointed of we don't sweep MTSU.

It was more a shot at your schedule last year when you played exactly one team with an RPI over .200 before conference play started.

This year you at least scheduled semi tough, and will actually play on the road. Still, Marshall, BYU, Western Michigan, Bowling Green (twice), Northern Kentucky (3 times), and Army. Plenty of cupcakes to fatten up on. Series at Jacksonville will be semi tough at least.
