I hope the scholarship deal is renewed after it's five-year agreement. It's a win-win for WMU and Fleck plus it gives him a good tax write-off. Six grand is pocket change in relation to his five-year contract with the Gophers.

It looks like he has asked that the scholarship go to a walk-on (smart), and that he intends to continue it in perpetuity.

The five year plan is smart on his part, considering that in five years we will have a new President and likely a new AD.

And then explanation of where the money is coming from to do the latter.

Much of that is decals I believe which is pretty easy to peel off. The big stuff.. odor free oil based kilz. I know this after just painting over my teen daughters use of a sharpie on the wall

and I said "more than cover it."

I would imagine that the "more than" is going to the salary pool.

If we'd got more for the RTB rights ALL of the buyout could have gone to pay new staff.

Plus, there's a possibility that Fleck might move on from Minny at the end of his five-year deal. The Gophers are another stepping stone for Fleck to go to an upper-level D1 program.
