RE: Toledo scares Akron, but comes up short
Below is Taylor's quote from the Blade article that is linked above. Paraphrased - "If my teammates would have kept giving me the ball, we would have won." He forgot to mention that Johnson ate him alive during the stretch when Akron caught up and pulled ahead.

“We kind of got away from what was working and what separated us and they capitalized on it,” Taylor said of UT’s second-half struggles. “We were moving the ball and working through me and letting me make decisions with the ball [in the first half]. It was hard for them to guard me one-on-one. That’s what kind of got us up in the first and second half. But we got away from that.”

Looks like his ego was working overtime.

I agree as much as he was contributing early he gave it all back with travels, missed free throws, missed layups and sparse D, but without help that dude is a monster. Needed Garber to hack the bejesus out of that guy....

Maybe he should spend less time talking to the media and more time practicing free throws...

Without Taylor, I'd hate to see where we'd be this year. One year wonder, I would have loved to have had him for all four years as he was wasting on the bench at Marquette.

Or maybe he was interviewed right after the game and gave an answer when still full of emotions? Nah, that couldn't be it.

When Arkon made the run, why didn't coach K call a time out? Taylor got very timided in the 2nd half and our defense went to hell, same old story.

no problem with that, I would rather have several taylor's then what UT has on the bench.
