If they hire Horn I'll be convinced that Bass is on the board and that I gave him the idea of Horn.

I know little of Horn's coaching, but I love what I've pieced together about his resume. Taking WKU to a S16 appearance and helping Courtney Lee get to the NBA as a 1st rounder will resonate with recruits. Plus, he plays an up-tempo style and presses like we do now. All of that is great and fits the mold for replacing Keatts, but he's also taken the plunge to a third-tier P5 school. He's only 42, but he has an appreciation for stability and doesn't want to move his kids around.

"You go back in as an assistant, you don't know how many times you're looking at moving (your kids) in a few short years. The other thing, I liked being the head coach, running your own program."

It has to be the right coach, but if he is that guy he could be here for a while.

In addition to making the Sweet 16, Horn's 2008 WKU team tied for the top APR rate in the NCAA.

After Clemson's collapse tonight, if Brownell is pushed out, believe they'd go after alum Will Wade at VCU.

Cuonzo Martin is in final stages of a 7-year deal with Missouri per Goodman. Not that I expected Keatts to land there, but it's one less potential/feasible option off the table.
