Memphis is a #7 seed in my NIT bracketology. Can move up though with some good wins in the final few games.

I just don't get the Clemson love. Best win is the same as Memphis best win. Losses are close but are still losses.
Indiana has better wins. Both have a bad loss.

now an 8 seed in the OP's link. Would be pushed off the bumble by a one bid regular season champ who does not win their conference tourney.

FWIW, the following shows Memphis with a 6th seed as of 2/20/17.

Does anybody really care? I know the players don't and the core 4 will bomb out.

OK. Do the core 4 care enough to put it together and make a run in the conference tournament?

IMO, I think they go 1-3 down the stretch (win against Tulane only) and go into the tournament at 19-12. Even if we get one win in the conference tournament to get to 20 wins, I do not think that is good enough to make the NIT, which is bad.

well if they don't, then I guess we have a 0-for the rest of the season to look forward to.

This season was going to be a hope and a prayer for postseason play long before we hired a new coach.

Not with 20 of 26 games with teams over 100 RPI.

Tubby gave me hope by stating “I think postseason play should be a realistic goal".

“I expect to win this year. I expect us to be a postseason team. I expect us to be able to compete for championships from Day 1.”

We still have time and opportunity to turn hope into reality.

That is true.

Again, people want to drop expectations in order for their agenda to make sense.

Don't lose to Monmouth, don't lose to crappy Tulsa, don't implode vs. Temple and UConn (or blow a 12 point lead vs. Providence) and you are 23-4.

Hell, just win vs. Monmouth (up by 12 in 2nd half) and Tulsa and don't let Temple go ham on you, and you are 21-6 right now with an RPI in the 50's. NIT lock and probably last four in/1st four out.

Hardly asking a lot.

Or blow a 15 point second half lead against UConn. Better said, don't blow a 10 point lead approaching the under 8 media time-out. Watching them "take the air out of the ball" was frustrating as h***.
