Not so fast, Mark Ginnatto is saying that Tubby called a timeout but the ref changed it to a media timeout because it was so close to the media timeout.

With viruses you just have to let them run their course. Maybe by this time next year, both you and Tubby will be over your virus and be able to see the importance of tall people in rebounding.

I think I speak for most (not all) of the posters regarding this issue when I say that we all sincerely hope Tubby realizes this before next season because we're all tired of watching this bullshtt.

I enjoy most of your posts and recruiting posts.

But that statement is some arrogant shi+.

Many people have forgotten or are too young to know or remember why UK ran Tubby off. I'm not one of them.

I'm old enough and have my opinion. I've also spoken with 2 longtime UK fans and got a couple of different answers. So what is your take on why he got run off?

And tired of reading the incessant whining by a couple of folks that accompanies the bullshtt?

Oh look - the hefty contrarian is back.

Don't click on the threads, turd.

Every once in a while you come up with a good idea.

This only means Tubby didn't realize it was time for a tv timeout.

It's common knowledge by consensus if that's possible that KY fans will NOT accept run of the mill double digit loss teams very long; that along with one win in Tourney each of those years. Look at his last two years-that's all it takes there; it will take 3 here. Too much revenue at stake.

It also appears to me that Tubby thought Memphis fans would fawn over his glowing resume (primarily put together 11 years ago and prior) and just show up. He was and is peeved about lack of fan support. He is basically thumbing his nose at the fans and trying to instill everything he knows about CBB coaching into Saul and putting his time in coaching and recruiting. He has his 5 years (and over $15M guaranteed) and while he is a man of character will give a good effort but not the effort if everyone had accepted him without conditions. Our fan base has not and will not do that for any Coach as Cal complained about many times.

I guess Josh was right. Just gotta make shots?

memphis did not use it's use it or lose it timeout

It was clearly a mistake on his part, it is strange that people are arguing other wise. I am all for Tubby being hugely successful here but that does not somehow make him infallible...

It was like the same few arguing after the Providence loss about sitting Dedric and KJ for such a long stretch...when the coach admitted he made a mistake later. Yet, they STILL argued.

Some people.

Rinse and Repeat. This happened against Wich St. So let's just say the coaching wizard Tubby didn't have a schematic change he could go to......guys could use the break to catch breath. Somebody tell me exactly which parts of being a Div 1 NCAA Head Basketball Coach that Tubby thinks he should be involved in?
