Jerry Got us going and is the most important person in UNCW basketball, I can't not comprehend how he is in not in UNCW Sports Hall of Fame. On a side note he and coach K grew up in Chicago and their birthdays are only two days apart. Also I believe Joe Brownings birthday is Feb 11 but not 100% certain

That's correct, they mentioned it on the broadcast, it was also Elon's coaches B-day Saturday.

My interest in UNCW bball was initiated in the Wainwright era. A friend of mine moved to Wilmington prior to my arriving, she had no interest in sports, however she could not stop talking about their basketball program and Wainwright was the reason. At the time Goldsberry was a commit, so living in Dayton I went to all of his high school games I could attend, and the love of Hawk basketball began. Happy birthday Jerry!
