Steph Curry is probably the best shooter on the planet, but he only makes 49% of wide open shots from 3-point land. And that's on, amazingly, 3 attempts a game (NBA defense isn't the best sometimes). It's easy for people to say they can hit 7 out of 10 open threes, but it's much different in a game situation. So yeah, I'd take your bet and be $100 richer. No way you would make 7-10 wide open 3's in a college basketball game. You wouldn't even get 10 attempts off, period.

Sam, that's not the best. I am saying pick a gym out and I could hit 7 of 10 3 pt shots......I now have $200 says I can. Let me know where and when? :-)

I be there to ref and keep score...

Steve, I don't think you would be impartial ref, since you seem to worship Sam. So we'd have to find someone else.

last year and a couple years ago i disagreed with everyone who was clamoring for more man-to-man, but i changed my mind. have it as an option and go to it when needed. our zone isn't as effective as it used to be.

Good point, Aaron. I am not as "educationally" sound as the rest of you when it comes to basketball. But as you say, the defense is not what it used to be and I would add that it had problems last year as well. Not sure if other teams have figured out the system, or if this crop of players are not optimal for the system, or if it there were some adaptations made to the system that were not successful, or if the time clock change has an impact.

Anyway, every team seams to shoot the lights out on EMU. Earlier in the Murphy era, they used to control and slow the tempo of the game. They don't seem to do that anymore. Perhaps if EMU goes back to a slow tempo, it will at least minimize the differential created by a team shooting the lights out AND hopefully take them out of their rhythm. Maybe resting on offense will provide more zip on defense.

Or just go to man-to-man might be a good idea.

That was another funny one, Steve. Kudos yet again!
