44 seconds left. IU down by 5. Indiana player drives to the basket. One ref calls charge, the other a blocking foul. The refs huddle. They wuss out and call a double foul. No shots. BOTH players foul out.

It was a horrible call. It was either a charge or a block. It cannot be both. I have seen doubles before but it was like a charge and a defender hack.

In what circumstances? This one makes no sense. Like you said, it cannot be both a charge and a blocking foul.

RE: Indiana Purdue Double Foul
Arguably one of the worst calls ever. You can't call a double foul because 2 refs disagree. Figure it out.

RE: Indiana Purdue Double Foul
The announcers thought it was a charge. I thought it was a blocking foul.

Double fouls are real. You see it in the lane when 2 bigs are pushing each other excessively. When refs do that, they are trying to get control of the game.
Re: IU vs Purdue -- HORRIBLE decision by the refs. I bet they are both quietly reprimanded by higher ups.

I was at the game, they kept showing it on the video board as the officials were discussing...I thought it was a block too but I was surprised when I got on twitter and almost everyone thought it was a charge. I get there can be charges when the defender's feet aren't set, but Bryant was not moving in a straight line into Biggie towards the basket. He was going more towards the corner to clear Biggie but Biggie fell towards the basket.

The refs in the Wagner-SFU were disgraceful. They cost my Red Flash a needed victory. Refs have been horrible lately.

They should be suspended. If you call a charge perhaps you are wrong, if you call a block perhaps you are wrong, calling a double we know you are wrong. I felt it was a charge as the offensive player lowered his shoulder into the set defender. Most refs automatically call that a charge.
