I don't know of the specific incident. I just heard Tubby was not too happy with attitudes and effort, and he let the team know. He felt they were picking days to "take off" like they were in the NBA.

It was implied they stayed out all night before the game on the Jason and John show tuesday

Yeah, and Peter Parker got super strength after being bitten by a spider, so I guess anything's possible.

In the past, players have stayed out late before bigger games than UCF ....

That past is in a galaxy long ago and far away. sigh
