5 days after playing navy, we play @ houston on espn. Yuck.

The bye week would be have been better before, between, or after the navy/houston games.

Btw, s illinois at home will not help attendance.

Slow your roll.

Everyone plays an FCS game. We have only done this since like 2001 or so.

In fact our FCS game in 2016 was our best turnout.

Win v. UCLA and we will get 40K+ the next week v. Southern Illinois.

Ha. Who will you root for?

The out of conference schedule is la monroe, s illinois, ga state and ucla.
That schedule doesn't include any sec teams. I know some here will like that, but the sec games always draw a large attendance almost every time. The ucla game is the only one that will have tiger fans excited.

We already got la-monroe at home, i don't mind playing s illinois, but to play both at home this season? If we lose vs ucla and it rains when s illinois is in memphis, the attendance will be bad.

It will be bad if it rains for only but the rarest of exceptions.

The trade off is that you have 7 home games.

Next season is actually worse. We play at Missou and have Mercer, GA State and USA at home.

It will be interesting to see if olemiss actually plays here in 2019. I won't hold my breath.

Where will the teams play is the more interesting question because the game could either be the Panthers’ first in new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, it could be in a renovated Turner Field, or it could be in a new stadium constructed by Georgia State for football near Turner Field.

That last part doesn't make sense. I doubt they could construct a brand new stadium between now and September.

Ole Miss is going to cancel on the final return game, no doubt.

Ole Miss won't be on the schedule until both Bowen and their AD are gone.

And quite frankly, after the sh*t they pulled with our band last season, F them.

Play Arkansas, Missouri, State when we can.

We do not need to play Ole Miss ever again.

The early season UCF game is interesting

We still have 5 of 7 Saturday games at home. The opening game on a Thursday will be a work holiday for me. Only the Tulane game on a Friday is less than ideal for attendance/tailgating.

From one extreme to the other on the bye week. Due to the SHC, we will probably be back to week 2 next year.

RE: Football Schedule Out
Hopefully we will be smart enough to schedule an OOC road trip next season in week 2.

I think this schedule sets up incredibly well for Memphis. If we are in the chase for our division, having a bye week that late with only SMU and ECU at home to finish out the season could be really well for us!!!

Not sure I like the Navy/Houston back to back, but Houston has to play Tulsa the week before so it is a bit of a wash.
Navy, Tulsa and Houston having to now play USF, Temple and Cincy will really help us as well.
