AState Changing Offensive Coordinators...(Well sort of)
Current OC Buster Faulkner has been demoted to TE Coach. Anderson will act as Offensive Coordinator and call plays, he will also temporarily serve as QB coach, at least until the NCAA approves a 10th Full Time Assistant coach.

Faulkner will retain the OC title, but will only have input on game plan, not final call.

I feel it is only fair to give a tip of the hat to the Middle Tennessee posters who came over here and told us Buster Faulkner wasn't very good. It appears from all angles that they were correct.

I also feel it's only fair it only took one year for someone in the program to say enough is enough. I think he signed for two years when he came over here. With the tradition of moving coaches that did not do well to other(we have had some over qualified golf assistants) positions until their contract ran out I suspect Buster will be moving on after this year.

True. State did seem to reach their decision much quicker than MT. Here's hoping the results are self evident next fall.

I'm kind of stoked because we finally get to see Anderson's offense, run by him.

Good move on his part, although I'm sure he is a little rusty.

Of course the best news for the 2017 team is they will not be burdened with the"Dallas or Bust", expectations placed on the 2016 team.

It also helps, as he said in the interview, that they are as deep and talented at ever position, as they were in 2016, because they had the talent to win 10 games.

Difference between life in Murfreesboro and Jonesboro.
Underwhelm in Blue Raider land and you can ride the horse for four years. Do it in Red Wolf country and 13 games is the limit.

Where would a somewhat demoted OC go? This would have to have an impact on future jobs.

I'd rather be like Ga So and just dump him.

He was on a multiyear contract. We were paying his salary this year regardless if he was fired or coached TE's.
