I wouldn't be shocked. He struggles to throw the ball down the field accurately, and it's unclear how much Lester and Co. will have the RPO in their scheme moving forward.

Nice class for the new staff so far. I really like the "surprise" additions of Hall and Clayton and they appear to have kept the rest of the class intact. It is obviously tough coming in with a new staff this late in the game, so credit to Lester and the rest of the staff! On the surface, it looks like Toledo has a great class. They landed former WMU (and Minny) commit DT Tyrone Chambers, who could be a dominant force in the MAC, and a RB who reportedly had offers from Alabama and Ole Miss. 17 3-star pkayers. Basically, they had a P.J. Fleck-like class. The road to more MAC titles will not be easy for our Broncos, but I suppose it is good to see the MAC conference as a whole getting better recruits as time goes on.

Sounds like Lester really hasn't had much time to meet with his team since he's been out recruiting since his hire... I wouldn't be surprised if this down time didn't get him thinking about his baseball career a little more (if I remember correctly he was torn between baseball and football when he left HS to come to WMU)... I wouldn't be surprised to see him pull a Butch Hampton and leave the team to pursue different talents...

Toledo always seemed to lead the MAC in recruiting before PJ arrived here in Kalamazoo... yet they seemed to always come up short on the field... I would love nothing more than to stroll into the Glass Bowl next year and put up a W...

RE: Official 2017 Signing Day Thread!
The big thing with Toledo is that we all saw how awful their defense was this past year. Whether it was the BYU game, or our game, Toledo struggled mightily on defense. Their class looks pretty good, but considering their struggles on defense, it doesn't look quite as great. For example, I don't think they have a single LB that signed. That's not going to help their defense improve.

Clayton wasn't a surprise, he was reported awhile ago. Hall was rumored for awhile.

Chambers has been all over the map and the fact that he didn't qualify for Minnesota and Toledo is the 4th school he has committed to, I wonder if he will pan out.

Overall was a good class. We still lack depth at QB, Dline, and potentially WR.

Hopefully Lester and the boys are ready to put in work for 2018. One thing Fleck did great was get commits early and keep them. Time for Junior day, and 2018. No time to rest.

This is the player that is going to make heap big noise from this class. Book it.

I tend to agree with this one... He has some great pocket presence... can run the ball and has a heck of an arm. He has some great QB coaches at WMU that should be able to keep him trending upward!

Looks like Brevin Harris is headed to Ohio U... How in the heck did we miss on this one? Ohio?

Possibly because we have a lot of WR's in our class already (one more might be on the way). Ohio U has a very small class last time I checked.

Chambers committed to Toledo as a Junior and opened up his recruitment when Matt Campbell and UT's DL Coach left for Iowa State. He committed to WMU and followed PJ to Minnesota. The flow of commits makes sense.

Just read that Dresser Winn - who pulled his commitment from WMU and intended to sign with Memphis, spurned Memphis to sign with TN-Martin. WTF?

Looks like he wants to take the path of least resistance to a starting job. You don't want that anyway. In Goddard we trust.

Sounds more like he wanted to stay close to home. Martin is a stone's throw from his hometown.

With a GF that hot, can't say I blame him... 04-cheers

In the press conference he mentioned being at 23 and having 2 opens spots for grad transfers and not being pigeonholed. I would expect a QB and potentially a WR or DT to be brought in to contribute and compete.
