I doubt it since it's presented by a reputable security site that I get emails from called ITNews Daily. Here is the article from that particular email --> ITNews Daily

I have Ubuntu 16.04 and a Win10. The Ubuntu is mostly safe (nothing is perfectly safe), but the Win10 is more susceptible There are plenty of defenses for the Win10 as well, mostly to be smart about the sites you visit. I rarely use the Internet on my Win10 PC, mostly using it for Lightroom photo editing, which doesn't run on Ubuntu.

You mean like the feds couldn't pay someone to defeat the encryption? Trust me, if someone wants to read your text sent/received, a way can be found, iphone or other. I briefly worked in cyber security. You'd be surprised at the amount of data being sent over the networks that can be seen. In your case, most likely no one is trying to read your data.

Kinda sorta true but anything you get (mainly annoying-ware) can be resolved by going to Settings>Safari and tapping on Erase Cookies and Website data. This is the only place malware can hide on an iOS device unless you actively download and install a bad App (and Apple does a decent job of policing the App Store).

Now Android devices, fudge that, it's the wild wild west on what you can download and install.....

Quit acting like Apple is some invincible bastion of cyber technology; the only reason Apple products are less vulnerable, is because there are less viruses being created for their OS than Android, because there are 100 times more Android devices being used in the world. Another factor is generic Android phones being made in China; if manufacturers want to install spyware in their products (like Huawei did), it's the manufacturers fault and not Android or Google.

Take a look at the links below. The first one indicates that Apple issued a "security update" to prevent attacks from "exploits flaws in the mobile operating system for iPhones and iPads".

The beauty of Android is that it is based off of open source and flaws/exploits are fixed quicker because the entire community can look at the open source and find the flaws instead of waiting for more limited Apple engineers to find and fix the flaws.

This also adds to the cost of Apple products have much more overhead (limited resources) than Android products with it's somewhat unlimited resources. The second link below talks about creating your very own Android off of the open source available for all to see and use.

The third link below is Apple's security reporting page. Why have such a page if they believe their products are unhackable?

Apples used to not have viruses mostly because of their lake of market share. Now it's just as (if not more) compelling for someone to write an iOS virus than a windows one.
