A couple late Juco OT gems would fill this class perfectly, as far as NEED.

Overall quality, numbers of legit offers, and MAC ranking will likely still end up in the bottom quarter again.

Probably that's true but it isn't anything new. All I can say it looks better today than did yesterday in terms of quality.

Nowhere to go but up, right....haha. Won't know about most of these guys, outside of the Juco's, for a year or two because of the current composition of the team. Would expect most of them to redshirt.

RE: Unofficial Signing Day Thread
We've had some pretty good luck with Canadian players pretty recently. One of them (Andy Mulumba) even had a brief spell in the NFL, starting a few games for the Packers before getting seriously injured. Kalonji Kashama, Cory Watman, and Jabar Westerman were other very productive players that we had from Canada. Let's hope Sow can eventually fall in line.

Considering the assistant coaching changes and poaching from WMU, could be worse.

Don't forget Eric D. We nicknamed him "Canada". Helluva WR on genyks teams.

The other giant Canadian OL that we were in on went to Grubb's new employer Fresno St.

Must have pushed Porter and Niupalau forward somehow. Samuelson no idea, he hasn't shown the ability to contribute at all since he showed up. Sow definitely being recruited as OL. Too big and upright to play DT, plus we're really deep there already. Would be huge if Sow actually showed the foot quickness and ability to develop into a legit MAC OT after a redshirt year. Total unknown coming from Canada.

Or sales job upon sales job they weren't on scholarship last year with a promise if they produced they would get one this year.

Are these players who walked on in 2016 and now being given scholarships?

E.g., A. Porter, Niupalau, etc.

Blue Shirt is my guess.....

Wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Smith Jr. moved to interior OL as well this year, at least for depth. No chance on the DL with the talent and depth we now have there. Apparently a talented kid, just isn't there mentally yet.

RE: Unofficial Signing Day Thread
Watching the signing day show. Looks like 20 newcomers + 5 who were on campus during the fall.

I'm GUESSING, the 3 JUCOs can count back to 2016 (no one doubts that) but I think 22 count FORWARD to 2017/18 academic year.

IF so, we would have a MAX of 3 more LOIs to give.

'79: Good ? for the staff tonight.

As we talk about the JUCOs I'm hearing they will be here for 3 years which is a big bonus.

Curious if Sidy counts 2016 or 2017 class?

The volume was a big issue on my end too. Greg was fine, but Sean and the segments were considerably lower.

I think the three who have 3 are Dervil, Kelly (mentioned in the interview) and the new de. Jones and the DT are incoming juniors and have two years. Again I could be wrong maybe I can clarify.
