RE: With NSD just over two days away, how's everyone looking?
We have consistently been getting solid commits over the last few weeks, but two players who won't be listed on our commit lists who will be able to immediately play after transfers are consensus 4* OT Kyle Trout who graduated after 3 years from OSU and will have two years of immediate PT coming this fall and Torrance Gibson, a 4*/5* player rated as highly as #12 in the country overall, who will be able to play immediately after receiving his AD from Cincinnati State CC and will have 3 years of eligibility remaining. Those are two huge difference makers for us, who will likely slot in immediately at positions of "unsettlement" if not high need.

Gibson sounds like loaded gun. Could be great or could be a train wreck.

Well, the reason he was dropped by OSU was an administrative suspension due to a consensual relationship with a tutor. Truthfully, he should still be at OSU...grades aren't an issue and that's really the only "negative" thing I've ever read on him. He's about as elite as they come athletically, arm is a little suspect though. The Cincinnati State thing is a way for him to not have another cool-off year by completing an associate's degree, nothing more.

Let's now see if we have the right coaches to make them winners.
Since SMU is only taking about 16 kids, we won't be high as far as class rankings go.

4* Obienna Eze says he is 100% signing with Memphis. Visited Ole Miss this weekend. Take that Black Bears.

With a couple days to go, Memphis and Houston have 1 recruit each on the ESPN300. The only other non-P5 is BYU with a single commit. USF and UCF each are in the final running for a couple 300ers. Another notch in AAC's belt over G4.

Memphis gets 2* OT Tanis Joseph. Thought he was going to ECU
Quote:The Memphis Tigers have picked up another commitment in two-star offensive lineman Tanis Joseph.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Joseph is the 262nd overall junior college player, and the 28th overall offensive lineman. He had offers from Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, FAU, Georgia State, Hawaii, Marshall, Nevada, Southern Miss, Texas State, Toledo, UAB, UMass and UCF.
This is Memphis fourth offensive lineman commit in the class of 2017. The Ellsworth Community College product joins Obinna Eze, John Dale and Mikhail Hill. They now have around 20 confirmed commits for the class of 2017, which is ranked 56th in the nation and first overall in the American Athletic Conference.

He is better than a 2 star.

That very likely will change come Wednesday if the 4-5 commits that should be signing for UCF fall the right way.
Lot's of things can happen between now and then though.
One things for sure, UCF will have a better class than USF this year
usf hant gotten anyone to commit, but tey have had like 7-8 mid star players projected to them
charlie strong had a habit of having "horrible classes" for most of the recruiting cycle and then on signing day gettig everyone to sign and having one of the best classes
i have a feeling thats whats happening with usf.....i think they shoot up on signing day
If what I'm hearing is true you would be correct. I expect USF to shoot up to the top four spots and be among the top in avg score.
We do have a small class this year 20 pr so, so overall point wise we won't be top.
